The Sustainability & Value (S&V) Programme plays a critical role in supporting the Board to achieve financial balance while delivering improved outcomes for patients.\r\nThe Role\r\nWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Programme Finance Manager to join our Finance Directorate, supporting the delivery of the Sustainability & Value Programme and Financial Improvement work-streams. Reporting to the Head of Sustainability & Value, the post holder will provide senior-level financial leadership, advice and assurance across a portfolio of complex programmes and service improvement initiatives. This is a key role at the interface between Finance, clinical services and programme teams. You will act as the lead Finance representative for assigned programmes, ensuring that improvement schemes are financially robust, deliverable and aligned to corporate priorities and governance requirements.\r\nKey Responsibilities\r\nAct as the Finance lead for Sustainability & Value and Financial Improvement work-streams\r\nProvide expert financial advice and challenge to programme leads and senior stakeholders\r\nSupport development of robust financial plans, appraisals and options analyses\r\nLead financial planning, forecasting and performance monitoring for programmes\r\nEnsure delivery of savings targets and benefits realisation in line with agreed trajectories\r\nIdentify, assess and escalat[e] financial risks and issues\r\nProvide high-quality financial reporting to Programme Boards and senior management\r\nEnsure compliance with Standing Financial Instructions, governance and audit requirements\r\nContribute to the development of financial frameworks, policies and best practice\r\nProvide line management and professional leadership to Finance Project Leads\r\nAbout You\r\nYou will be an experienced finance professional with a strong track record of supporting large-scale transformation, efficiency or improvement programmes, ideally within the NHS or wider public sector.\r\nYou Will Bring\r\nSignificant experience in financial management in a complex organisation\r\nStrong technical expertise in financial planning, governance and performance management\r\nDemonstrable experience supporting programme or project delivery\r\nExcellent analytical, influencing and communication skills\r\nThe ability to present complex financial information clearly to non-finance audiences\r\nA collaborative, proactive approach with the confidence to challenge and influence senior stakeholders\r\nA professional accountancy qualification (CCAB or equivalent) is desirable.\r\nThe Opportunity\r\nThis is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting financial sustainability and service transformation across NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
