Job Title: Ground Support Equipment MechanicContract Duration: 12 MonthsWork Type: Onsite, Mon - Fri 4/10 with possible OT on Friday's as neededLocation: Crestview, FLJob DescriptionJoin our team as a Ground Support Equipment Mechanic and contribute to our mission of providing exceptional operational support services. We are a global leader in the industry, offering integrated solutions for government and commercial clients.Responsibilities:Operate and maintain ground support equipment: Conduct inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on various equipment, including tow tractors, diesel engines, generators, and air conditioning units.Perform scheduled maintenance tasks: Complete tasks such as fluid changes, filter replacements, belt adjustments, and tire rotations.Diagnose and repair equipment issues: Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems and perform overhauls and rebuilds as needed.Maintain accurate records: Document maintenance and repair activities, including work orders, parts used, and hours spent.Coordinate with program teams: Prioritize and complete repair jobs effectively to minimize downtime.Adhere to safety standards: Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.Communicate effectively: Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and external vendors.Qualifications:Minimum 5 years of experience as a Ground Support Equipment Mechanic in the aviation industry.Knowledge of OSHA regulations and commitment to safety.Ability to obtain and maintain security clearances and certifications.Proficient computer skills for maintenance management systems and software.Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.Completion of a formal training program in automotive or heavy equipment mechanics.Physical abilities: Ability to lift/pull/push equipment over 50 lbs, work with hazardous materials, operate forklift, crane, and manlifts, bend, stoop, kneel, stand for prolonged periods, climb, and travel as needed.Valid state driver's license.Not color blind due to wiring and fluids identification.Note:Due to Operational Commitments to Customers some shifts might require longer than a 10 hr day.Benefits:Medical, vision, and dental insurance plans.401k retirement fund.About Our Company:We are a global provider of operational support services, training, and converged environments.
