Our Senseis are the lifeblood of our Code Ninjas center. As a Sensei, you’ll create an engaging, supportive environment that fosters curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help ignite a passion for technology and innovation in students of all backgrounds. This role offers a flexible schedule perfect for passionate educators or tech enthusiasts eager to make a positive impact while sharing their knowledge.\nResponsibilities include:\nCoach and mentor kids in coding and STEM curriculum, including JavaScript, C#, Unity, Godot, block-based languages, Minecraft, and more\nCreate a positive and safe environment in which students can grow\nManage classroom environments effectively, ensuring safety, organization, and positive behavior\nFacilitate hands-on activities involving computer programming, robotics, and technology projects\nFollow opening/closing duties daily\nComplete training courses on our coding curriculum\nPerform extra duties as needed, including organizing and maintaining center equipment and facilities\nLead engaging coding camps for multiple age groups, guiding students through hands-on projects while creating a fun, supportive learning environment\nPick up students from local schools and walk over to our center\nProvide homework support to students\nReport as needed to the Lead Sensei and Program Manager with respect to the day’s activities and productivity in the dojo\nQualifications:\nWorking history with children ages 7 and up (mentoring, coaching, tutoring etc.)\nStrong classroom management skills with the ability to foster a respectful and inclusive environment\nCoding and technology skills: knowledgeable about, or willingness to learn, introductory concepts in JavaScript and Godot. Skills in Minecraft, Roblox, robotics, or 3D printing a plus.\nLooking for individuals who seek ways to contribute rather than waiting to be told.\nDemonstrated experience with children ages 5-14 in babysitting, childcare, mentoring, coaching, tutoring, etc.\nKnowledge of coding & technology and computer science concepts such as data structures, algorithms, discrete math, and machine learning is highly desirable\nWorks well with others; collaborates\nMust like working in fast-paced environments where requirements can change frequently\nFamiliarity with special education strategies or working with diverse learning needs is a plus\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\nMust be fun, and able to help our ninjas have fun too!\nJoin us in inspiring the next generation of young coders and innovators!\n\nThis franchise is independently owned and operated by a franchisee.
