Position Summary Caremark LLC, a CVS Health company, is hiring a Sr. Software Development Engineer in Woonsocket, RI. The role focuses on designing and developing software applications and platforms to support digital strategies and solutions, with responsibilities that span from analysis to deployment and support. Responsibilities Analyze user needs and develop software solutions to meet business requirements. Determine the feasibility of solutions, design architecture, and prepare technical design documentation. Upgrade existing software applications and/or systems to improve functionality, performance, reliability, and maintainability. Write and review high‐quality code and perform unit and/or automation testing. Develop and deploy application components, support unit testing, and address bug fixes. Participate in AGILE Scrum meetings and/or CI/CD. Support applications, systems, and databases used to process prescriptions, claims, and related healthcare activities. Collaborate with cross‐functional teams on applications development, technical requirements, code review, project deliverables, quality assurance, and software development best practices. Mentor junior team members. Independently lead development of solutions with high complexity and risk, and set priorities and strategy for the software development organization. Requirements Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Five (5) years of experience in the role or related occupation. Five (5) years of experience with: Operating Systems Programming languages: Java, JavaScript J2EE XML, JSON, HTML, or CSS Databases: DB2, PostgreSQL, and Oracle JIRA, Rally, and Confluence Pega Implementing client functionality requests Developing quality application design and process flows, performing code reviews, and collaborating with peers on software development solutions One (1) year of experience with building and configuring applications, application troubleshooting, debugging, deployment, and presenting technical proposals and solutions to stakeholders. Compensation Pay Range: $147,680.00 – $203,940.00 per year. The actual base salary will depend on experience, education, geography, and other factors. In addition to base pay, the role may be eligible for a bonus, commission or short‐term incentive program, and an equity award program.
