This position requires strong collaboration with project teams, PMs, engineering, and supply chain stakeholders while maintaining a high level of system knowledge and adaptability to uncertainty in builds, BOMs, and routing.\nKey Responsibilities:\nWork closely with project teams, PMs, and engineering teams to understand program requirements.\nManage End-of-Life (EOL) and dormant items, ensuring appropriate inventory disposition.\nMaintain high-level system knowledge (AX, Agile, etc.) and oversee BOM structure support (Coverage Group, MRP settings, WHs).\nSet up and manage intercompany processes, facilitating collaboration across factories/groups.\nNavigate uncertainty in builds, BOM structures, and routing, ensuring adaptability.\nOversee engineering BOMs, item creation, and adoption in AX, ensuring accuracy and compliance.\nExecute intracompany warehouse transfers for effective material flow.\nConduct inventory status reviews and disposition in coordination with quality and engineering teams.\nHost Engineering Collaborative Meetings, fostering alignment across departments.\nEnsure material availability to support engineering and prototype builds.\nAct as a communication bridge between the production floor and production planning teams.\nMaintain high-level business/site knowledge to align engineering operations with company objectives.\nExhibit strong leadership, including the ability to push back, negotiate, and collaborate effectively.\nApply critical thinking and scepticism to engineering planning and decision-making processes.\nPossess or develop technical and engineering knowledge, enabling informed decision-making.\nFoster strong relationships with the engineering buyer function to ensure material availability.\nDefine and manage MBOMs with engineering, purchasing, and manufacturing teams.\nOversee build plan management, interfacing with production planning and setting priorities.\nSupport forecasting, including risk buys and predictive inventory management.\nCoordinate sales order confirmation, ensuring alignment with engineering and production needs.\nManage inventory disposition and lifecycle tracking.\nLead engineering change control, ensuring timely updates and approvals.\nOversee AX system settings updates, including safety stock adjustments, transaction agreements, and revision updates.\nRequirements/Qualifications:\n9 years direct planning experience or 5 years of experience with a relevant bachelor’s degree or 3 years of experience with a master’s degree.\nStrong negotiation and collaboration skills, with the ability to challenge and refine decisions.\nHigh-level system knowledge, particularly AX (Dynamics AX), Agile, and business structures.\nAbility to cope with uncertainty, making strategic adjustments where necessary.\nTechnical and engineering knowledge, or the ability to develop expertise in relevant areas.\nEffective communication skills, ensuring coordination across production, engineering, and supply chain teams.\nExperience in engineering change management, inventory disposition, and forecasting processes.\nU.S. Export Controls Requirements: This job requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by the export laws of the United States.
