Works closely with Maintenance department to ensure equipment is working effectively.\nEssential Duties/Responsibilities\n¨ Develops and improves production processes to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and high-quality output\n¨ Tests, monitors, and maintains equipment to ensure compliance with safety, quality and production standards\n¨ Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including Maintenance, R&D, Quality, and production, to implement process improvements\n¨ Works with Plant Manager to monitor factory output levels and develops / implements continuous improvement initiatives in safety, quality and productivity\n¨ Partners with Director of Operations related to expense budgeting for the Diamond Tool factory\n¨ Works closely with various other managers to support improvement initiatives\n¨ Develops plans for efficient use of materials and equipment\n¨ Reviews production costs and helps modify production programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of the Diamond Tool division\n¨ Develops standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintains accurate documentation for compliance and process tracking\n¨ Trains and mentors staff on new processes, equipment, and best practices\n¨ Other duties as assigned\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\nNone\nEducation/Experience/Requirements\n¨ Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; and five (5) or more years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience\n¨ Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to clearly and effectively communicate expectations, results, plans, etc\n¨ Strong troubleshooting, problem solving, and reporting skills\n¨ Intermediate computer skills – experienced in Microsoft Office and ERP systems\n¨ Ability to inspire, motivate, and support staff as needed\nPhysical Requirements\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
