Capable of leading several project related tasks and/or complicated large-scale projects in their entirety. Provides engineering support on projects led by others. Takes direction and seeks guidance from the assigned project leads, the supervisors, and company leadership.\nEducation and Experience:\nBachelor of Science; Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or other pertinent curriculum combined with relevant technical experience.\nTypically, 7+ years total experience.\nProven Track Record: 3+ years as Control Systems Project Engineer I or equivalent.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nTechnical Responsibilities:\nLead, train, and mentor co-workers during start-up and commissioning of systems.\nExpert in reading and interpreting piping & instrumentation diagrams and wiring diagrams. Able to provide feedback regarding field conditions versus drawings.\nExperienced with Human-Machine Interface (HMI) and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) applications.\nExpert in understanding, practicing, and guiding others in the company’s Quality Management System (QMS).\nFirm understanding of complex control system design.\nAble to independently design complex control systems.\nProvide instrumentation specifications for complex control systems.\nValue engineer specifications to provide the most cost-effective solutions.\nLeads detailed design of Information Technology (IT) systems, network infrastructure, and computer system designs, as it relates to control system integration.\nAble to independently design distributed HMI systems.\nCustomer Service:\nCommunicate in an effective, positive, and proactive manner with customers.\nFollow customer specific site standards and procedures.\nAlways conduct business in professional manner.\nProvide excellent customer care and support.\nBe patient, attentive, and responsive to customers in solving their problems.\nAlways follow up and honor commitments with customers.\nDemonstrates an understanding of the customer needs and actively seeks to service those needs.\nProject Responsibilities:\nComplete assigned tasks accurately, on schedule, and under budget.\nLead individual project related tasks and/or small to mid-sized projects in their entirety.\nAssume the ultimate responsibility for the successful completion of those projects or tasks on schedule and under budget.\nTake on the role of the customer’s main contact on those projects that the employee is assigned to lead.\nIdentify changes u scope to overall projects and/or tasks.\nProvide support on other projects or tasks that are scheduled to be led by others.\nManage and delegate assigned tasks accurately, on schedule, and under budget.\nUnderstands and anticipates customer needs.\nAccurately estimates the duration and difficulty of tasks.\nEnsures the team adheres to a realistic schedule and budget.\nAbility to identify and manage risks.\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\nWhere applicable, directs and oversees junior or subordinate staff members regarding construction, operations, and/or maintenance tasks and assignments at a project site.\nRequired Skills and Abilities:\nIn addition to Control Systems Project Engineer II skills and abilities:\nMonitors progress and results of work.\nAdapts to changing demands of customers.\nShows willingness to take on challenges.\nExhibits composure during tense situations.\nLeverages emotions to build meaningful relationships.\nCommitted to further developing technical and leadership skills.\nTravel required:\nOvernight travel may be required up to 50%\nOn Call:\nOn call rotation participation may be required based on location and client needs.\nWork Authorization/Other Requirements:\nProof of eligibility to work in the country where the position is located is required.\nMaintain a valid drivers license.\nFit for Duty at all times\nCulture:\nModel Thermo Systems core values of employee success, customer success and financial strength by:\nSeeking new and additional business through project change orders, additional services to existing customers, and referrals for new customers/projects.
