In this role, you will build and maintain data pipelines, transform raw data into reliable models, and develop the Tableau dashboards that put insights in front of our clients. The balance between data engineering and dashboard development shifts with client needs, and the right person finds energy in both.\nThis is a high-impact position in a small, growing company. If you want ownership, variety, and the chance to see your work drive measurable outcomes, this role is built for you.\n\nWhat You Will Do\nData Engineering & Pipeline Development\nMonitor, optimize, and integrate batch data pipelines into Snowflake using ELT tools (Fivetran, Airbyte) and custom Python integrations to databases and APIs\nBuild and maintain dbt projects that transform source data into clean, tested reporting models\nDevelop Airflow orchestration pipelines connecting data ingestion, Snowflake, dbt, and Tableau\nDesign and implement DataOps practices using GitHub Actions, dbt testing, and data observability tooling\nTableau & Analytics Delivery\nBuild and maintain Tableau dashboards and published data sources as a core part of client delivery, following internal design standards\nSet up optimized, easy-to-use data sources in Tableau that enable self-service analytics for clients\nCollaborate with clients to translate business questions into effective visualizations\nPlatform & Continuous Improvement\nIdentify opportunities to improve our managed analytics platform and build the automation to make it happen\nStay current on the evolving cloud data and analytics ecosystem\nCommit to strong SDLC practices including version control, code review, and documentation\nYou are equally comfortable writing dbt models and building Tableau dashboards\nYou are a strong listener and collaborator who brings an optimistic, solution-oriented approach to problems\nYou embrace an incremental improvement mindset and are always looking for ways to do things better\nYou take ownership of your work and hold yourself to a high standard\nYou are adaptable and excited to wear many hats as every team member plays an influential role at DataDrive\n\nWhat We Are Looking For\nRequired\n3+ years of professional experience building cloud data pipelines and working within a cloud data warehouse\nStrong proficiency in SQL and Python\nWorking experience with Snowflake, dbt, and Airflow (or similar orchestration tools)\nExperience designing data models to support reporting and business outcomes\n1+ years of hands-on Tableau development (dashboard building, data source configuration, calculated fields)\nNice to Have\nExperience with Fivetran, Terraform, or GitHub Actions\nFamiliarity with AWS services\nWho You Are\nBackground in consulting or client-facing analytics delivery\nComfort with ambiguity and shifting priorities in a small-company environment\nSchedule & Workplace\nDataDrive is a remote-first company with a flexible, virtual workplace. We expect employees to be generally available Monday through Friday during core hours (9 AM - 4 PM CST) for meetings, collaboration, and client communication.
