This position requires someone who is comfortable using hand tools, accurately reading a tape measure, climbing ladders, and working with various mechanical components.\n\nFlexibility is essential. Depending on production and shipping needs, the Final Assembler may be asked to assist in other related departments or perform additional duties to support overall plant operations.\n\nEssential Functions & Responsibilities\n\nRead and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and assembly instructions to accurately assemble prefabricated components.\nAssemble, install, and secure components according to specifications and quality standards.\nUse basic hand tools safely and effectively.\nAccurately read and interpret a tape measure; a tape measure test will be required.\nUse basic mechanical and carpentry skills to complete assembly tasks.\nApply basic automotive/mechanical knowledge when troubleshooting or assembling components.\nInstall and secure hardware, fasteners, fittings, and other components.\nClimb ladders and work at elevated heights as required.\nFollow written and verbal instructions accurately.\nInspect completed assemblies to ensure proper fit, alignment, installation, and quality.\nIdentify assembly issues and communicate concerns to supervisors or team members.\nWork collaboratively with production, fabrication, shipping, and other departments.\nAssist other departments when needed based on production and shipping demands.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.\nFollow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\nEducation & Experience\n\nHigh school diploma or GED preferred.\nTrade school, apprenticeship, technical training, or related on-the-job experience is preferred.\nPrevious experience in manufacturing, construction, mechanical assembly, automotive, carpentry, or a skilled trade is highly desirable.\nBasic blueprint or shop drawing experience preferred.\nBasic understanding of plumbing and fittings is a plus.\nExperience with NPT and JIC fittings is helpful.\nSpecific Qualifications:\n\nQualifications\n\nSuccessful candidates should have:\n\nStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.\nBasic understanding of blueprint and shop drawing interpretation.\nAbility to accurately read a tape measure.\nProficiency with basic hand tools.\nBasic carpentry and/or automotive mechanical skills.\nFamiliarity with basic plumbing concepts and fittings is a plus.\nAbility to follow written and verbal instructions.\nStrong attention to detail with a focus on quality and consistency.\nGood communication skills and ability to work effectively with a team.\nAbility to adapt to changing production and shipping priorities.\nDependable attendance and a strong work ethic.\nCommitment to following plant safety procedures.\nCompany Overview:\n\nIES is a national provider of industrial products and infrastructure services to a variety of end markets, including electrical, mechanical and communications contracting solutions for the commercial, industrial, residential and renewable energy markets.
