In this position you will be exposed to a multitude of Gas Turbine and Aerospace parts at various stages of the manufacturing process. UNEW employs a fully automated 3D scanning system to ensure and verify the quality of our products as well as the products of our customers. The Scan Technician will be responsible for scan program creation, part fixture deployment and execution of defined inspection requirements.\nJob Responsibilities:\nPerform blue light inspections of complex turbine parts using ATOS scanning system.\nInterface with engineering department to coordinate inspection of parts.\nDevelop and maintain automated inspection programs.\nProgram & operate robotic scanners.\nDevelop new scanning methodologies and fixtures.\nOperate and maintain all lab equipment.\nEstablish efficient and cost-effective inspection methods.\nPrepare and present inspection documentation results to Engineering.\nPerform manual inspections of parts & tools.\nMaintain calibration of all equipment & calibration artifacts.\nJob Requirements:\nAssociate degree in a technology field or applicable experience with ATOS Scanning system.\nRelated scanning or metrology experience, a plus.\nExperience with CAD software, a plus.\nExcellent written and oral communication skills.\nExcellent analytical skills.\nFully proficient in Microsoft Office software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).\nOccasional travel may be required.\nThis position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.
