{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"5dfd42e143c76ccd9d52cac6","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/5dfd42e143c76ccd9d52cac6","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/5dfd42e143c76ccd9d52cac6","title":"Safety Engineer","description":"*DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*\n\nIdentifies and analyzes accidental loss workplace conditions; independently conducts safety investigations and recommends corrective action where occupational hazards exist.\n\nParticipates in the development of safety training.\n\nTailors training for individual departments and work areas and includes, but is not limited to: ergonomics, hazardous materials, right to know, material handling, CPR/First Aide, AED, Personal Protection, Equipment and Emergency Procedures.\n\nParticipates in the development and implementation of corporate Employee Health and Safety programs.\n\nMaintains safety manuals and documents.\n\nParticipates in any regulatory inspections; investigates, prepares and forwards reports on injuries and fatalities.\n\nCompletes required federal and state reports relating to safety.\n\nEnsures compliance with government and state health and safety regulations that meets both budgetary and compliance requirements.\n\nMay act as a liaison to remote facilities and ensures that all company sites adhere to safety policies and procedures.\n\nCoordinates safety, health and environmental programs with safety representatives at remote sites.\n\nResponsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.\n\nExpected to maintain a productive and safe working environment in accordance with established operating procedures and practices\n\nAdditional Functions Other duties as assigned or required.\n\n*Qualifications *\n\nTypically requires a Bachelors or Masters degree in industrial hygiene, occupational safety or a related technical field and two or more years progressively complex experience with a Bachelors, in safety engineering.
