IT Field Support Technician (Remote - Texas)

Tanager, Inc., an information technology company which provides quality products and services to our customers is seeking a key contributor to join our team as a full-time IT Field Support Technician. This position involves providing field technician services to one of our fortune 500 hospitality customers This is a remote position. It will involve up to 75% travel. Wage Range: $28.00/hr to $35.00/hr Benefits include: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, LTD, STD, Tuition Reimbursement & Professional Training Assistance, PTO, FTO & Holiday Pay Essential Functions: Responsible for troubleshooting products for required repairs Responsible for supporting new property installations and training Responsible for troubleshooting and installing computers, laptops, printers, and communication interfaces Regular and reliable attendance Responsible for completing other project related work as assigned Qualifications: Willing to travel up to 75% of the time, generally 3 weeks a month Must be able to be issued an airline ticket Must be willing to travel by plane Experience in information technology repair and maintenance General computer skills required Microsoft Office experience preferred Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written Physical requirements include an ability to bend, squat, walk with heavy equipment, and lift roughly 65 pounds Valid driver’s license Required Experience: 3+ years’ experience performing field technician support services Experience traveling nationwide to client sites in support of customer requirements Unix Experience (including basic troubleshooting & shell scripting) Experience troubleshooting ethernet and serial devices Experience performing site surveys for LAN installs/updates Experience testing LAN cables and identifying network paths/locations IT experience in the hospitality industry is a plus Education: Bachelor's degree in IT field preferred.
