The GNSS engineering team design best in class system and software solutions for our customers. You will apply and maintain the various development standards imposed by the avionics field while bettering the industry standards for the GNSS and developing innovative solutions.\n\nAs a System Designer, your key responsibilities include:\nParticipate in the development of new GNSS system solutions that will revolutionize the aerospace industry in accordance with company standard and industry methodologies\nDesign GNSS systems that will meet and exceed the performance required by the industry\nParticipate in all phases of the development including peer reviews\nResolve multiple technical challenges related to new and existing technologies\nReview detailed execution plans and schedules with the project management team to ensure adequacy, completeness, and harmonization with the overall program level plan\nGenerate system requirements documents for physical and logical interfaces\nDefine cockpit display formats and control operations in conjunction with the customer\nSupport Change Management related activities at the program level\nMeet with customers occasionally to understand their challenges and propose valuable solutions\nAct as a key player in the development, integration, and formalization phases of our GNSS receiver solutions\nHow to excel in this role (Job Requirements):\nBachelor of science in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university, or equivalent\n5 + years of experience in GNSS development\nDeep knowledge and pertinent experience on GPS/GNSS receiver theory, design, and application\nExcellent ability to communicate complex information to technical and nontechnical users\nAdvanced analytical, troubleshooting, and design skills\nStrong mathematical skills\nHigh Speed Signal acquisition and analysis, FPGA, ASICS\nExperience working closely with AEH and SW developers in the implementation and validation of the requirements\nWhat sets you apart (Preferred Qualifications):\nFamiliar with Requirements management systems (DOORS)\nFamiliar with DO-178 Certification process\nFamiliar with minimum operational performance requirements DO-229, DO-253, DO-401\nFamiliar with simulation tools such as Matlab and Simulink\nFamiliar with Communication protocols (RS-232, RS-422, A-429, Ethernet, etc.)\nExperience in avionics development\n\nWhat we offer:\nFast paced environment with significant autonomy\nStart up¨ work environment in a well-established organization\n401K Match Program\nBCBS Medical, HSA with Company contribution, Dental, Vision, Life and Disability Insurance\nGenerous PTO Plan\n\nAt CMC, we pride ourselves on delivering a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
