The Production Associate role is structured in progressive levels, with increasing expectations for independence, technical skill, problem-solving, and operational contribution.General Duties:Maintain a clean and safe working environment while following all safety rules, standard work, and plant regulations to prevent injury or damage to materials and equipment.Upon training and qualification, perform a variety of production-related tasks including:Machine operation and supportAssembly and packaging of finished goodsMaterial handling and job flow executionCrating and staging product for shipmentInventory counting and basic documentationAssisting team members and supporting production needsResponsibilities increase with level, with higher-level associates taking on greater ownership, independence, and expectations for peer support.Working Responsibilities:Safety & ComplianceFollow all company and OSHA safety policies and proceduresUse required PPE and maintain safe work practices at all timesProgress from following safety expectations to modeling and reinforcing themQuality & ProductionAssemble materials and package finished products to meet customer requirementsPerform visual inspections and ensure adherence to quality standardsIdentify defects and take appropriate action based on training and level of responsibilityProgress from basic defect recognition to anticipating and preventing quality issues Standard Work & ExecutionFollow posted work instructions and standard operating proceduresPerform assigned tasks with increasing levels of independence:Material Flow & Workstation ReadinessMove materials correctly through the production processMaintain organized, efficient workstationsEnsure readiness of tools, materials, and equipmentRecommend improvements to workflow and efficiency at higher levels Documentation & SystemsAccurately track production, time, and job data in required systemsComplete production documentation and check sheetsProgress to supporting and training others on systems and documentation accuracy Problem Solving & Continuous ImprovementIdentify and escalate abnormal conditionsTroubleshoot issues within defined scope Proactively identify root causes and implement improvements Team ContributionWork collaboratively with team members and leadershipAccept feedback and demonstrate continuous learningAt advanced levels, act as a resource and support the development of others Education and Experience:Prior manufacturing, assembly, or production experience preferredAbility to learn equipment operation and production processesForklift certification may be required for certain roles Work Environment:Plant environment with exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and manufacturing conditions.
