This role sets the technical direction for DevOps initiatives and works primarily within the Microsoft Azure environment. The DevOps Team Lead improves productivity across the development organization by establishing standards, best practices, and automation strategies. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and driving Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives through Bicep and ARM templates.\nDuties and Responsibilities\nLead the design, implementation, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.\nOwn and manage cloud infrastructure in production environments, primarily within Microsoft Azure.\nDesign, write, and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Bicep and ARM templates.\nApply cloud-agnostic DevOps principles and best practices across infrastructure and deployment pipelines.\nEstablish DevOps best practices for build, release, deployment, monitoring, and operational excellence.\nEnsure high availability, scalability, security, and performance of systems.\nCollaborate with development teams to streamline deployment workflows and improve developer productivity.\nMonitor and optimize system reliability, performance, and cost efficiency.\nLead incident response activities, including root cause analysis and continuous improvement processes.\nMentor, coach, and provide technical guidance to DevOps engineers.\nDocument architecture, operational procedures, and technical processes.\nPartner with security teams to ensure compliance and implement secure deployment methodologies.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.\n5+ years of professional DevOps or software development experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.\nStrong hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure on at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, etc.).\nStrong experience with modern CI/CD platforms such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.\nExperience designing and maintaining pipelines using Git-based workflows; Azure DevOps experience highly preferred.\nExpertise in Infrastructure as Code tools and concepts (Bicep, ARM, Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.).\nSolid understanding of cloud networking, security, and identity concepts (VPC/VNet, IAM, firewalls/NSGs, etc.).\nExperience with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, or similar.\nStrong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.\nExcellent communication and collaboration abilities, including cross‑team coordination.\nWorking Conditions\nThis role operates in a professional remote environment.
