We are currently looking to hire a Construction Superintendent for the Appleton, Wisconsin area.\nJob Summary\nThe Construction Superintendent coordinates all site construction activities and supervises all field personnel as required to successfully complete projects on schedule, in accordance with the Plans and Scopes of Work, and within budget. This includes maintaining the highest quality, supervising all trade and field personnel, while administering good construction safety practices with all on-site activities. Maintains the job site office and closes out projects. Reports to the Vice President of Operations.\nCore Responsibilities\nCoordinates and supervises on all construction activities.\nDirects all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, and with quality workmanship that conforms to plans, specifications and Scopes of Work.\nCreates schedules with Manager and maintains construction schedule, identifying and solving problems as needed.\nInsure homes are complete, punched out, clean and have an occupancy permit prior to orientation and delivery as scheduled.\nOrders materials and schedules inspections as necessary throughout the process.\nLearns, understands and insures compliance with the project plans, specifications, Scopes of Work, and Apple Tree, LLC Systems.\nMonitor construction processes - identify areas of improvement and work with the Construction Manager, VP or subcontractor to improve systems and efficiency.\nMaintains positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers and other employees.\nPrepares, schedules and supervises completion of a final punch list.\nPromotes job site safety, encourages safe work practices and rectifies job site hazards immediately.\nEnsures all company employees and contractors are adhering to the company safety policy.\nMaintains an organized job site, including the construction office.\nConduct occasional tours with Buyers during the construction process and Homeowner Orientations with new Homeowners prior to closing.\nConducts warranty walk-throughs with Homeowners and coordinates needed repairs.\nParticipates in occasional manual labor tasks necessary to maintain the schedule while keeping within budget.\nHelps out on occasional nights and weekends for marketing events and parade of home events.\nCore Competencies:\nOrganization: Utilizes strong organizational skills.\nCommunication: Displays strong written and oral communication skills and employs effective listening skills.\nProblem Solving: Analyzes problems and makes sound decisions in a timely manner based on objectives, risks, implications and costs.\nInterpersonal Skills: Tactful and mature demeanor with well developed interpersonal skills including the ability to work well with diverse personalities.\nTime Management: Makes efficient use of time and coordinates activities to maximize efficiency for others. Approaches project and schedule with a sense of urgency.\nTechnology: Understands modern technology and is proficient in basic computer programs. Is able to learn new programs and adapt to new technology.\nEducation and Experience\n4-yr college degree preferred but not required.
