Based in Rochester, NY, we take pride in bringing creative metal designs to life with a commitment to quality.Role DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Welder - Railing Fabricator/Installer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing and installing metal frameworks, railings, and structures. This role requires an understanding of fabrication layout, the ability to perform all tasks safely and with precision, and a commitment to quality work.DutiesMaintain the ethics and professionalism expected of Rochester Metalworks & Design employees in the execution of the duties and responsibilities of the position.Fabricate and assemble according to drawings and specifications.Follow established codes (IRC, IBC, etc.) and standards for quality and safety.Safely operate various tools and equipment necessary for fabrication, such as saws, grinders, drills, and welding machines while using the required PPE.Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine fabrication requirements.Inspect fabricated parts to ensure they meet quality standards.Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects.Install finished products on site.Maintain a clean and organized work environment.QualificationsPrior experience building railings and framework.Experience laying out and installing stairs is a plusProficient in reading blueprints.Experience with oxy-fuel cutting techniques and equipment.Ability to build, assemble, and install metal components/structures accurately and safely.Skilled in using hand tools and power tools effectively.Ability to work independently with direction.Posses the ability to obtain AWS D1.1 3G/4G certifications.Good problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues that may arise during the fabrication process.Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
