Activities AssistantStatus: Full TimeLocation: Avamere Three Fountains-835 Crater Lake Ave, MedfordApply at: www.teamavamere.comResponsibilitiesSet up, implement, and clean up resident group and individual activitiesCoordinate with other departments as necessary and in conjunction with resident care plansEnsure that all charted activity progress notes are informative and descriptive of the services provided and indicate the resident's response to the servicePerform administrative requirements, such as completing necessary forms, report, etc., and submitting such to the Activity Director as requiredSupervise scheduled resident smoking breaks outdoors to ensure the safety of residentsQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentAble to read, write, speak, and understand the English languageAble to self-direct, switch directions, and complete tasks despite frequent interruptionsAble to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actionAble to sit, stand, and walk frequently throughout the work dayPossess patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as being willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level at which they are currently functioningMust have an active CPR/BLS Certification.At Avamere, we believe in taking care of our employees.
