This includes determining if there is a true match, performing and documenting research, reaching out for additional information, reporting, and escalating to compliance units when appropriate.\n\nResponsibilities:\nReview and action payment transactions held for sanction related matches\nInvestigate and obtain additional information to make a sound decision\nEngage and escalate to various compliance and AML teams when appropriate\nPrepare and compile reports\nIdentify repetitive false hits\nIdentify opportunities for process improvement and follow through on implementation\nUnderstand payment processing and formats\nCrosstrain for various internal roles within the department, and provide back-up coverage for those roles as needed\nAssist as required for control, risk, daily activities, and transaction services projects\nPerform all required tasks within established procedures and controls to minimize losses\nAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.\n\nQualifications:\nCollege degree preferred\nAnalytical and deductive reasoning skills\nBanking and payment knowledge including ISO, Swift, FED, Chips is preferred\nUnderstanding of regulatory practices in AML, OFAC and Sanctions is preferred\nAbility to work in high-volume, high pressure processing environment\nAbility to multi-task and prioritize\nStrong verbal and written communication\nRelated experience in funds transfer and/or sanction screening\nStrong computer skills including Word and Excel\nMust be able to work occasional weekends and holidays\n\nEducation:\nBachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience\n\nThis job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
