The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience with server/storage hardware, solid knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems, and a strong foundation in validation methodologies.\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nIncludes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):\n\nTest Automation: Contribute to the development of test utilities and automate test script procedures to streamline validation processes and increase efficiency. Implement automated frameworks for drive qualification, reliability tracking, and regression testing.\n\nComprehensive Validation Testing: Conduct thorough and rigorous validation testing for storage devices (NVMe/SAS/SATA), RAID/HBA controllers, storage backplanes, motherboards, server systems, and associated components to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and functionality.\n\nTest Plan Development: Enhance and maintain validation test plans and test instructions, ensuring they reflect the most current testing strategies and methodologies. Expand test methodologies to cover new storage interfaces, protocols, and features.\n\nTesting Spectrum: Perform an array of tests, including functionality, compatibility, interoperability, performance, stress, and reliability testing on storage components and full server systems, adhering to established protocols and standards. Validate hot‑plug behavior, PCIe storage devices, and multi‑drive configurations under various workloads.\n\nData Analysis and Documentation: Document test results and analyze test data, record findings and observations. Report hardware and software quality assurance issues using established bug tracking systems.\n\nOS & Driver Support and Analysis: Offer adept driver/application analysis and support, leveraging comprehensive understanding and expertise in both Windows and Linux operating systems. Work with engineering teams to validate new FW/driver releases, microcode updates, and OS patches.\n\nIssue Resolution: Analyze storage‑related failures using system logs, RAID/HBA controller logs, protocol analyzers, SMART data, and debugging tools.
