Under general direction, you will support project teams by providing critical schedule insights, identifying risks, and driving schedule performance across the full project lifecycle.In this role, you will work closely with project managers, construction teams, and project controls professionals to ensure alignment between planning, execution, and project objectives. You will play a key role in schedule development, progress tracking, forecasting, and performance analysis while contributing to continuous improvement in scheduling practices and tools.Your Day-to-Day ActivitiesDevelop and maintain detailed project schedules from pre-construction through project completionCollaborate with project teams to establish baseline schedules and execution plansLead planning sessions and scheduling workshops to define project sequencing and logicUpdate schedules based on field progress and validate accuracy through site coordinationAnalyze schedule performance, including critical path, float, and key variancesIdentify schedule risks and recommend mitigation strategies to maintain project timelinesDevelop forecasting models using production rates and resource dataCreate “what-if” scenarios to evaluate schedule impacts and recovery plansSupport cost and schedule integration through resource loading and performance trackingPrepare and present schedule updates, reports, and analysis to project stakeholdersDocument schedule changes and support claims avoidance and project documentation effortsAssist in the development and use of 4D scheduling models when applicableMentor team members and support scheduling best practices across projectsThe Job RequirementsBachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field3+ years of experience in construction scheduling or project controlsExperience developing and maintaining detailed project schedules for construction or infrastructure projectsWorking knowledge of scheduling methodologies, sequencing, and project execution planningFamiliarity with cost and schedule integration, forecasting, and performance trackingAbility to analyze schedule data and communicate insights clearly to project teamsExperience supporting projects from planning through execution and closeoutWillingness to travel and work on-site at project locations as neededYou’ll Stand Out If You HaveProficiency with Primavera P6 or similar scheduling toolsExperience supporting large-scale or complex infrastructure or industrial projectsExposure to construction logistics, resource planning, and field coordinationExperience developing 4D schedules or working with schedule visualization toolsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills related to schedule performanceExperience mentoring or training team members on scheduling best practicesAbility to present schedule analysis to project leadership or stakeholdersCompensation & Benefits$80,000-$110,000 annual salaryPaid holiday, sick, and vacation timeMedical, Dental, and Vision CoverageHealth Savings Accounts (HSAs)401(k) with Company MatchAnnual BonusTuition ReimbursementPaid Parental LeaveFlexible Spending Account (FSAs)About TD ThorntonSince 2005, TD Thornton has been helping our clients bridge organizational gaps by providing best-in-class consulting services and staff augmentation.
