OverviewTradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced TIG Welders for projects located in the Hamburg, NY area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is prevailing wage at $72/hour. Job Scope:Perform GTAW (TIG) welding on stainless steel components in a production environmentWeld aluminum materials including sheet, plate, tubing, and extrusionsProduce high-quality fillet and groove welds per specificationsControl heat input and travel speed to prevent burn-through and distortionRead and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawingsPerform fit-up, tack welding, and final weld passesPrep materials through oxide removal, grinding, and cleaningSupport GMAW (MIG) welding tasks as needed (TIG skillset is primary)Inspect welds for porosity, undercut, incomplete fusion, and discontinuitiesFollow all safety and quality proceduresSocket weldingResponsibilitiesPass a drug screen and background checkStrong experience with GTAW (TIG) welding stainless steel alloysFamiliarity with filler metals such as 4043 and 5356Experience with joint preparation, beveling, and fit-upAbility to maintain proper penetration and bead profileExperience welding in flat, horizontal, and vertical positionsAbility to read tape measure, square, and fabrication drawingsUnderstanding of distortion control techniquesMIG (GMAW) experience helpful, but TIG stainless steel skillset is requiredQualificationsTradesmen International not only offers consistent work, top pay, and employment opportunities, we also provide a benefits package that is among the best in the industry.
