critically ill and injured, and transports the patient to the appropriate treatment or medical facility in the role of First Responder.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nProvides emergency and non-emergency ambulance operations in conjunction with a partner, demonstrates excellent driving judgment and regard for public safety during operation and positioning of unit.\nResponds to all assigned calls in the most appropriate, safe and efficient manner to quickly assess the scene and request other help if needed.\nAssist in BLS patient care in accordance with established procedures and prescribed local protocols and clinical practices.\nMaintains a thorough working knowledge of current EMS standards of care, including equipment function and use.\nComplies with safety standards to assure safety of self, medical personnel, patient, and equipment.\nMaintains positive interpersonal relationships with colleagues, EMS Representatives, hospitals and public.\nMaintains a thorough working knowledge of local geography, including mapping, street, and grid book systems.\nMaintains units and equipment in a clean, organized and ready condition after each response.\nEnsures proper fuel, fluid, and tire pressure levels at all times.\nReports equipment damage or malfunctions as prescribed.\nCompletes all station duties and maintains crew quarters in lean conditions.\nMaintaining a clean and complete uniform, personal hygiene, and professional, pleasant and polite demeanor to all persons with whom the individual comes in contact with while on duty.\nAssist in lifting, carrying, and properly loading of patient into the ambulance, and may provide transport to a medical facility.\nOther duties ad assigned.\nMinimum Requirements:\nMust be at least 21 years of age\nHold a valid Florida driver license for a minimum of 3 years\nLess than 3 points on driver license\nWorking knowledge of the English language\nGood geographical knowledge of Miami-Dade County\nGood geographical awareness of Broward County\nNo violent crimes, grand theft, crimes against minors or elderly, no felonies.\nMust be available to work any available shifts including nights, weekends holidays.\nMust be prepared for bouts of lengthy driving\nStarting Pay:$12.00 per hour\n\nLicenses and Certifications (must be valid, current and/or in good standing)\nValid Florida Driver’s License minimum 3 years (Clean Driving Record\nWill offer training for First Aid CPR and AED Certification for Adult, Child and Infant (American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR for Professional
