Also responsible for staffing, training and coordinating all aspects of the packing department and ensures adequate and prompt packing of product while maintaining equipment and machinery running in accurate working conditions. Ensures support of departmental safety goals, environmental ISO-14000, corporate mandate and other assignments as required.\n\nEssential Functions:\n\nTo control and ensure the packing of 50 lb. and retail bags.\nTo control and ensure the packing of the Hopper Cars.\nTo ensure the quality of the product (flour) is being packed.\nTo supervise the addition of additives to the flour.\nTo supervise the reprocess of flour and interchange.\nMust make sure that all packing and additive reports are filled out correctly.\nMust ensure that all employees under him/her have their safety equipment.\nMust ensure that the packing and additive areas are kept clean.\nSee Departmental Matrix for additional Job Duties.\nPerforms additional duties in relation to local packing area as required\n\nQualifications and Education Requirements:\n\nBachelor's Degree in business management, manufacturing or related to agricultural field.\nExperience: At least 2 years of Supervisory related experience.\nCertifications: HACCP and other Safety Certifications is a plus.\n\nEnvironmental Management System:\n\nResponsibilities and Acknowledgement:\n\nTo know and apply Food Safety Policy principles in relation to all work-related activities and the importance of full compliance of the program.\nTo know and apply Quality and Food Safety principles and all applicable instructions in all related activities to ensure the achievement of safety objective.\nTo know the Food Safety Management System and support in its implementation, maintenance, and improvement.\n\nResponsibilities with the Environmental Management System:\n\nTo know and apply Environmental Policy principles whiles maintaining awareness of related activities and contribute to the programs successful performance and compliance.\nTo perform all activities and avoid creating significant environmental impacts by following guidelines established in the Environmental Management Systems documents.\nUnderstand and apply the Environmental Management System documents applicable to my roles, with an awareness of the relevance and importance of my activities to achieve EMS objectives, including environmental protections and compliance with applicable legal requirements.\n\nOther Responsibilities established in the EMPS Authority and Responsibility Matrix\n\nUnderstand and apply the Environmental Management System documents applicable to my role, with an awareness of the relevance and importance of my activities to achieve EMS objectives, including environmental protections and compliance with applicable legal requirements.\n\nGruma Corporation and its affiliates, including but not limited to Azteca Milling, L.P., are committed to a policy of Equal Employment Opportunity and will not discriminate against an applicant or employee on the basis of race, color, religion, creed, national origin, ancestry, sex, gender, age, physical or mental disability, veteran or military status, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, or any other legally recognized protected basis under federal, state, or local law.
