This role manages administrative and accounting staff, reconciles designated accounts and bank statements, oversees month-end and year-end closing processes, and ensures timely and accurate sales tax filings. The Senior Accountant also serves as the primary contact for vendor billing issues and supports leadership by maintaining accurate, transparent, and compliant financial records.\n\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\n\nOversee daily operations of the accounting office, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with dealership accounting standards.\n\nManage and support administrative and accounting staff, including training, workflow oversight, and performance guidance.\n\nPerform reconciliation of designated general ledger accounts, bank statements, and financial schedules.\n\nLead month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring deadlines are met and financial data is complete and accurate.\n\nPrepare and submit monthly and quarterly sales tax filings in accordance with state and local regulations.\n\nMaintain and monitor internal controls to safeguard dealership assets and ensure compliance with accounting policies.\n\nReview, analyze, and resolve vendor billing issues; serve as primary liaison for vendor communication.\n\nEnsure accurate posting of transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, and payroll-related entries.\n\nCollaborate with department managers to ensure proper documentation, timely reporting, and adherence to financial procedures.\n\nAssist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis as requested by leadership.\n\nMaintain confidentiality of financial and personnel information at all times.\n\nPerform other duties as reasonably assigned to support dealership operations.\n\nRequirements\nQUALIFICATIONS\n\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent required.\n\nBachelor’s degree in Business Administration or finance required.
