For more detailed information on our Benefits and what it is like to work for Amentum: please visit our careers site: www.amentumcareers.com\nThe work schedule for this role is Monday-Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, however, various hours may be required based on business demand.\nAs a LIS Technical Lead, you will be responsible for daily support activities, including:\nAs the Laboratory Instrumentation Technical Lead, you will be responsible for acting as lead and subject matter expert, in lab instruments, troubleshooting, and calibration service on laboratory equipment (Freezers, Incubators, etc.), PLCs and other controls for commercial and industrial equipment to ensure uninterrupted operation of essential instrumentation, controls and electrical equipment. You will perform hands-on technical maintenance in a prompt, effective, and safe manner.\nLeading the lab instrument technician team and providing expert troubleshooting when needed.\nProviding oversite and training to new technicians\nFielding client questions about lab specific equipment\nProviding overall support for technicians when needed\nCalibrating and maintaining pharmaceutical laboratory equipment and instrumentation such as freezers, and incubators (You will not be responsible for Analytical Laboratory Instrumentation (HPLC, GC, Mass Spec etc).\nCalibrating process instrumentation such as temperature, pressure, humidity, etc.\nUtilizing Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to record calibration data.\nUtilizing some mechanical and electrical skills to complete assignments.\nComplying with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).\nOperating various measuring, diagnostic and testing instruments in performing calibrations.\nProviding regular reports to senior management regarding throughput/performance, issues or concerns, projects in laboratories, and other assigned production projects.\nResponding and providing service and feedback to the customer on all work orders while assuring compliance to codes, regulations, and industry standards.\nRecommending measures to improve maintenance methods and equipment performance.\nAnalyzing and resolving work problems or assisting workers in solving work problems.\nUnderstanding company policies and enforcing safety regulations.\nOperating various measuring, diagnostic and testing instruments to help provide energy efficiency solutions.\nOperating a variety of equipment such as hand tools, laptop computers and diagnostic hardware to perform work.\nPerforming other duties as assigned by Management\nAs the LIS Technical Lead, you will be expected to:\nWork in a team environment with a one team mentality; be friendly, respectful, empathetic, and professional to teammates and clients.\nValue and respect employee authenticity and demonstrate cultural awareness to create a memorable experience and a respectful workplace.\nBalance workload and multiple tasks while focusing on attention to detail and prioritizing assignments.\nTake initiative to resolve issues that arise and solve problems independently; shift priorities as needed or requested by management and remain flexible\nOther duties as assigned by management\nCommunication\nKnowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint\nAbility to communicate clearly via phone\nAbility to work closely with customer during site emergencies.\nExcellent oral and written communications\nExcellent interpersonal skills, i.e., listening to customer needs, articulating path forward and giving solutions that provide value to the customer, etc.\nAccurately document electronic and paper cataloging system to provide information to customer or regulatory personnel.\nStrive for quick complaint resolution; to resolve problems on the first call and avoid escalation of issues through operational knowledge.\nMinimum Requirements\nHigh school diploma or demonstrated equivalent.\nSix years of experience working in a pharmaceutical, chemical, industrial, or related laboratory environment, or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience.\nAbility to pass a medical evaluation for respirator use and be able to successfully complete a fit test for several types of respirators.\nAbility to obtain a security access badge at our client’s location.\nAbility to read and understand information contained in a variety of documents or displayed on a computer screen. Demonstrated fluency in computer use including the full Microsoft product line.\nAbility to obtain an appropriate driver's license issued by the State Department of Motor Vehicles, as requested.\nMust be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
