MEP Specialist

Insight Global is seeking a MEP Specialist to join the team of a large data center construction client. You'll be tasked with the execution of day-to-day coordination with guidance, bridging project requirements with onsite activities and commissioning. You'll lead documentation, quality verification, and cross-trade communication, providing hands-on troubleshooting across electrical and basic mechanical/controls interfaces.Core ResponsibilitiesPlan and coordinate installation means and methods aligned to design basis; verify compliance and quality.Interface with owner reps, subcontractors, FSRs, and commissioning agents; facilitate issue resolution and schedule alignment.Drive commissioning readiness (e.g., pre-functional checks, load-soak prep) and maintain structured reporting.Lead field documentation in Procore; manage punch lists, PTP verifications, and safety walkdowns (LOTO/PPE).Maintain documentation (photos, checklists, punch items) and communicate status/risks to project leadership and the customer.Serve as onsite point-of-contact when leadership is offsite; escalate issues and keep schedule moving.Minimum Qualifications3–5 years construction experience (electrical preferred); 2 years trade school/college or journeyman equivalent.Proficient in Procore and Adobe/PDF editing; adept at reading blueprints/submittals/specs/one-lines.Working knowledge of ATS/UPS/switchgear; exposure to commissioning and EPMS/SCADA concepts.
