Each Bartender is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of the Gibsons Restaurant Group’s philosophy, which is based upon four distinct core beliefs: Hospitality, Quality, Family and Value.\nAmbassador of GRG and TFG Culture:\n\nSeek out opportunities to communicate ThinkFoodGroup and Gibsons Restaurant Group’s core values to team members, customers, vendors and community in a clear and positive manner. Lead by example. Demonstrate ownership, accountability, and initiative in daily tasks by anticipating business needs and proactively addressing issues. Readily adjust to circumstances and manage change effectively by finding ways to accommodate team and guests by always ‘making it happen’, without sacrificing quality. Create a positive work environment by demonstrating no tolerance for negative behaviors. Welcome new ideas and seek feedback from team by asking questions.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nServe customers as part of a team by anticipating their needs, initiating conversation, offering assistance and advice and remembering that “the customer is always right”!\nCheck identification to ensure customers meet minimum age requirements for consuming alcoholic beverages.\nMust responsibly serve customers alcohol according to the guidelines of safe serving.\nMix and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks to patrons of bar, following standard recipes.\nMix ingredients, such as liquor, soda, water, sugar and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks.\nServe wine and draught or bottled beer.\nAccurately enters orders into POS, collects money and returns change for drinks/food served.\nAccurately reports tips for each shift.\nArrange bottles and glasses to make attractive display.\nSlice and pits fruit for garnishing drinks.\nMaintain a neat and clean bar area on a continual basis.\nBe aware of potential hazards, which could cause, but are not limited to, slipping, tripping, falling or burns.\nArrive for each shift on time and in full uniform.\nAttend all pre-shift meetings ready to “listen and learn” and share ideas.\nAvoid leaving work area during peak periods.\nTake breaks only when approved by the General Manager or Manager.\nKeep a clean and professional appearance at all times.\nTake and delivers food orders for customers dining in bar area.\nHave extensive knowledge of the restaurant’s menu and wine list, including daily specials.\nMay tend service bar and be designated Service Bartender.\nMake change for servers.\nMay perform other duties as assigned\nQualifications:\n\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
