The way we share ideas, learning, experiences, successes, and joy allows everyone to be their best at Ascendion.\nTitle: Program Manager Non-Tech 5\nLocation: Boydton, VA\nSummary:\nThe main function of a non-IT program manager is to plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as engineering, research and development, financial systems and product roll-out, etc or any other non-IT based project.\n\nJob Responsibilities:\n\nCoordinate projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.\nPresent and explain proposals, reports and findings to clients.\nRecruit employees, assign, direct, and evaluate their work, and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.\nAnalyze technology, resource needs and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.\nConfer with management, production and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures.\nReview and recommend or approve contracts and cost estimates.\nDirect, review and approve product designs and changes.\nConsult or negotiate with clients to prepare project specifications.\n\nSkills:\n\nVerbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills.\nStrong ability to work independently and manage one’s time.\nStrong leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.\nStrong knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.\nStrong knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.\nStrong knowledge of computer software, such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio etc.\nTop 3 Must-Have HARD Skills\n1. Utility experience\n2. Project management for substation and transmission line projects\n3. Reading and understanding blueprints\n\nEducation/Experience:\n\nBachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.\nPMI or PMP certification preferred.\n10+ years of experience required.\nThanks\nSalary Range: $1,66,400 - 1,70,400 Annually -Factors that may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.\nBenefits: The Company offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: [medical insurance] [dental insurance] [vision insurance] [401(k) retirement plan] [long-term disability insurance [short-term disability insurance] [5 personal days accrued each calendar year.
