The Assistant Program Director must maintain a flexible work schedule that may include working hours other than regular work schedule and evenings, weekends and holidays.\nBilingual in English and Spanish is required for the Assistant Program Director role.\nEssential Functions:\n· Assist with collection, maintenance and submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to the appropriate personnel at national headquarters and the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR).\n· Assist with overall supervision and management of program personnel including recruitment, hiring, training, and terminating.\n· Review monthly financials, with the Program Director, to ensure compliance with operations/contract requirements. Adhere to negotiated annual budget and spending requirements.\n· Monitor the program facility and vehicle maintenance, inventory control and bulk purchases. Maintain a safe, clean and hazard-free environment.\n· Assist with facilitating the established training guidelines and curriculum for employee training.\n· Monitor and maintain compliance with organization, licensing, and funding source for all program departments.\nOther Functions:\nAssume the duties and responsibilities of the Program Director in his/her absence or as requested.\nAttend all organizational required trainings.\nAttend all departmental and program meetings to ensure that up-to-date information is received and/or information of policy changes or practice are adhered to.\nMust assist in the evacuation of youth as needed due to inclement weather conditions, natural disasters, or other unforeseen occurrences.\nTravel as needed for trainings, conferences or to transport youth to destinations located within the U.S.\nMaintain a safe, clean and hazard-free work area.\nDevelop and maintain productive relations with local, state and federal stakeholders.\nAble to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.\nQualifications and Requirements:\nMust be 21 years of age at the time of hire.\nA combination of one of the following:\nBachelor's degree in a social service or related field, with a minimum of three years direct child care experience and two years of supervisory experience in a residential environment.\nMaster's degree in social services or related field, with one year supervisory experience working with troubled youth.\nRequired to work a flexible schedule to facilitate program services.\nCleared Tuberculosis test results.\nCleared background check from appropriate entity.\nBilingual. (English/Spanish)\nCleared drug test results (this one is for Texas programs only).\nFlexibility and willingness to work irregular and long hours, including evenings and weekends as the position requires on call rotation with Program Director.\nMaintain annual training requirements/licensure/certifications.\nPhysical Demands:\nMust be able to obtain Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification and First Aid Certification (CPR). Must be able to supervise clients indoors and outdoors as necessary. Bending, stooping and lifting up to 15 lbs required to complete daily tasks. Job requires extended periods of sitting; use of various office equipment.\nWork Environment:\nThis is a twenty four hour residential facility at which minors receive multiple services. Three shifts per twenty four hour period. Work shifts are subject to change. Noise levels vary from mild to moderate. Predominantly indoors, occasional outdoor monitoring or activities.
