MES/SCADA Support EngineerLocation: Hybrid (Chicago Area)Travel: 50-60%OverviewTEKsystems is seeking a skilled MES/SCADA Support Engineer to support and enhance manufacturing execution and automation systems. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining system uptime, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring reliable integration between manufacturing systems and business operations.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain, troubleshoot, and enhance MES/SCADA systems (Rockwell FactoryTalk)Support and program Allen-Bradley PLCsDesign, implement, and troubleshoot SCADA/MES network topologiesIntegrate software with hardware systems, including system upgrades and redundancy configurationsExecute system outages and support remote access via VPN/RDPManage and support SQL databases, including queries and administrationCollaborate cross-functionally with operations and plant stakeholdersProvide on-call support and assist during scheduled production downtimesProactively identify and resolve system reliability issuesRequired Qualifications5+ years of experience with Rockwell FactoryTalk3+ years of experience with SCADA systems3+ years of experience with electrical networking and remote access tools (VPN/RDP)3+ years of Allen-Bradley PLC programming1+ year of SQL administration and query experienceStrong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, domain administration, and electrical systemsProven troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience with SQL Server administrationFamiliarity with object-oriented programming or VBAStrong proficiency in Microsoft ExcelExperience working in manufacturing environmentsTravel Expectations50-60% travel required (primarily 2-3 days per trip)Occasional travel up to one weekTravel primarily to:Broadview, IL (Chicago area)Dyersburg, TNLexington, KYFlexible scheduling - travel driven by project needsAll travel expenses covered (including optional TSA PreCheck)Work EnvironmentHybrid role with standard hours (Monday-Friday, 8 AM-5 PM)On-call availability outside business hours requiredInitial 2-month onboarding/training period with Manufacturing Systems AnalystBusiness ImpactThis role is critical to maintaining system uptime across manufacturing operations.
