This role leads the technical implementation of complex projects, ensures high-quality code standards, and provides guidance to junior developers.\r\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\r\nDesign, code, test, and deploy high-quality software solutions using modern programming languages, frameworks, and development methodologies\r\nTranslate business requirements into technical specifications and system designs; ensure adherence to enterprise architecture standards and best practices\r\nReview and optimize application performance, scalability, and maintainability; enforce coding standards and secure coding practices\r\nDevelop and maintain RESTful APIs, data integration services, and middleware to connect enterprise systems and external platforms\r\nDesign and maintain database schemas, stored procedures, and queries to ensure data integrity, availability, and optimal performance\r\nServe as a technical lead on projects; provide accurate estimates, manage development timelines, and coordinate with project managers and business stakeholders\r\nOversee unit, integration, and user acceptance testing; ensure smooth deployment through CI/CD pipelines and version control systems\r\nProvide technical guidance, mentorship, and training to junior and mid-level developers; foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement\r\nTroubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to maintain system stability and uptime\r\nResearch emerging technologies and recommend enhancements to improve application performance, security, and user experience\r\nPartner with cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with corporate data security standards and regulatory requirements\r\nParticipate in vendor evaluations, technical assessments, and proof-of-concept initiatives to support IT strategy and innovation\r\nConduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company\r\nAbility to travel overnight\r\nQualifications\r\nRequired Qualifications\r\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field\r\n5+ years of progressive experience in application development, including enterprise-level projects\r\nStrong computer skills are required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn new programs/systems quickly is essential\r\nAdvanced proficiency in enterprise application development, programming languages, web services, and database technologies\r\nAbility to evaluate complex technical challenges and deliver efficient, scalable solutions\r\nStrong organizational skills to manage multiple concurrent projects and deadlines\r\nCapable of mentoring junior developers and influencing technical direction across projects\r\nAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral form or via Forestar applications\r\nAbility to sit for the majority of an 8-hour workday; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
