This role is ideal for an individual who enjoys solving complex application challenges, collaborating with customers and internal teams, and supporting projects from concept through completion.\nKey Responsibilities\nTechnical Support & Application Design\nAnalyze customer requirements and recommend appropriate pump and wastewater solutions.\nDesign and size pumping systems, including selection of pumps, motors, and motor starting equipment.\nIntegrate associated components such as valves, piping, seals, instrumentation, and automation systems.\nReview and interpret project plans, specifications, and mechanical system requirements.\nEvaluate and verify bills of materials for accuracy and completeness.\nReview engineering and manufacturing drawings to ensure technical compliance and feasibility.\nProject Coordination\nCollaborate with sales, engineering, manufacturing, and service teams to ensure timely and accurate project execution.\nPrepare technical documentation, drawings, and specifications for proposals, submittals, and installations.\nSupport project lifecycle activities from quotation through delivery and commissioning.\nCustomer Interaction & Support\nProvide pre-sales and post-sales technical support to customers and partners.\nAssist with troubleshooting, commissioning, and performance optimization of pumping systems.\nCommunicate repair status and technical needs for pumps received for service or overhaul.\nServe as a technical liaison between customers, consultants, and internal teams.\nQualifications\nEducation\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field\nOR\nMinimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience specifically in pump applications, wastewater systems, or fluid handling solutions.\nExperience\nWorking knowledge of pumping equipment, valves, and fluid handling principles.\nFamiliarity with electric motors and motor starting equipment.\nExperience working in or around manufacturing and repair shop environments.\nExperience with ERP systems such as Epicor, NetSuite, Sage, or similar platforms.\nSkills\nStrong understanding of hydraulics, fluid dynamics, and pump sizing methodologies.\nAbility to review and analyze bills of materials and engineering drawings.\nProficiency with CAD software and pump selection tools.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nStrong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.\nDetail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a team-oriented environment.\nPreferred Qualifications\nKnowledge of PLCs, SCADA systems, and automation for pump control.\nExperience supporting municipal or industrial wastewater projects.\nFamiliarity working with consulting engineers to provide factory information, drawings, performance curves, sizing support, and responses to technical inquiries.\nRockwell Engineering & Equipment offers a collaborative work environment, long-term career growth opportunities, and the chance to be part of a trusted name in the rotating equipment industry.
