This role is a vital part of our Hose and Fittings Group, operating on the front line of industrial service and custom fabrication.\nCheck out what our associates love about their job here!\nAs an Assembler, you will be expected to fabricate assemblies and perform all warehouse functions to accurately pick and ship products. Understand and utilize Cross operating systems to consistently provide effective and efficient customer service.\n\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\n\nFabricate hose assemblies from pick tickets\nUnderstand and communicate customer directions related to product requests; communicate directly with the customer when changes are requested, backorders occur, or future order dates are changed\nPick orders correctly by matching the item and quantity picked to the pick ticket\nPackage orders for shipping using the appropriate packing material to protect\nagainst damage during delivery; follow instructions & requirements as noted on the pick ticket\nDeliver product to production customers, and other customer orders as needed\nAssist counter sales associates with pulling orders, and building assemblies for counter customers when needed\n\nADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nFabricate hose assemblies per hose certification requirements\nRestock parts bins from overstock storage\nPerform special projects as assigned by Supervisor\nMaintain a safe, clean and organized warehouse\nRemove pallets, break down plastic reels and package for recycling\n\nEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE\n\nHigh School diploma or GED required\n1 to 2 years experience in a warehouse/stockroom environment preferred\n\nREQUIRED BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES\n\nTeamwork oriented\nCustomer focused\nSelf-Motivated\nGood judgement\nHandles stressful situations well\nAbility to work with limited supervision\nCommunicates well\n\nREQUIRED FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES\n\nMechanical aptitude\nGood problem solving abilities\nBasic math and reading skills\nBasic PC skills\nBasics of warehouse operations and terminology\nMust be able to read a tape measure and calipers\nAbility to consistently and reliably arrive on time and ready to work\n\nPHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS\n\nAbility to handle 50 pound packages\nAbility to stand and work in place for 2-3 hours\nCapable of working in a physically demanding environment\nAble to maintain focus and productivity in a fast-paced setting\n\nDISCLAIMER\n\nThe job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
