Thinking beyond opportunity and reward, at Flowserve, we are inspired by working together to create extraordinary flow control solutions to make the world better for everyone!\n\nEssential Responsibilities\nGlobal Standards & Procedures\n\nCollaborate with Engineering subject matter experts and cross-functional stakeholders globally to establish item/BOM and document standards that ensure consistency and effective communication of engineering design information delivered through items, BOMs, and related documentation to internal and external customers.\n\nDevelop, document, implement, and maintain global engineering standards, procedures, and data governance practices.\n\nData Structuring, Part Classification & Technical Data Preparation\n\nLead coordination with external partners on technical data transformation activities, including planning, progress tracking, issue resolution, and overall support.\n\nManage assigned projects and initiatives from planning through completion.\n\nDrive the development and continuous improvement of item/BOM, document, and part classification standards to enhance the consistency, usability, and governance of engineering data.\n\nUse data analysis to identify improvement opportunities in classification logic, attribute definitions, legal value lists, deduplication, and the creation of trusted engineering records.\n\nLead data cleansing, enrichment, consolidation, and deduplication efforts to improve data quality and establish a reliable golden record.\n\nProvide expert guidance on part classification and data structuring in accordance with international standards and internal governance requirements, ensuring consistent, accurate, high-quality, and well-structured engineering data across the organization.\n\nEstablish and govern global parts libraries, including CAD/item relationship, to support part reuse, standardized item creation, and supply chain needs.\n\nDefine, maintain, and govern material, quality, and process requirement libraries to ensure alignment and consistency across engineering systems.\n\nCross-Functional Collaboration\n\nCollaborate with engineering teams and cross-functional stakeholders globally to align on standards, workflows, and engineering data requirements, resolve issues, and drive adoption.\n\nProvide responsive, customer-focused support to internal and external stakeholders while fostering effective communication and collaboration across engineering teams and cross-functional partners.\n\nData Integrity & Quality Control\n\nMaintain high levels of data integrity through regular audits, data validation, and quality checks to ensure accuracy and compliance with established standards.\n\nAnalyze engineering and technical data to identify patterns, inconsistencies, root causes, and opportunities to improve data quality, governance, standardization, and part reuse.\n\nReporting & Documentation\n\nPrepare and present reports on findings, trends, and key metrics to stakeholders.\n\nEnsure clear and consistent documentation of data structures, classifications, standards, and methodologies to support compliance, transparency, and effective knowledge sharing.\n\nChange Management\n\nAct as an effective change agent, driving adoption and long-term acceptance of company-wide engineering standards, practices, and procedures.\n\nQualifications\n\nB.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline, with a minimum of 5 years of industrial experience.\n\nDemonstrated experience with PLM or similar data management systems.\n\nStrong knowledge of engineering processes, systems, and design tools.\n\nStrong knowledge of engineering, industrial, and international standards.\n\nStrong analytical and data analysis skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and support data‑driven decision‑making; basic programming or scripting skills are beneficial.\n\nDemonstrated proficiency in the application of Continuous Improvement Process tools.\n\nPreferred Experience / Characteristics\n\nStrong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with demonstrated ability to apply technology to solve complex problems and meet business and stakeholder needs.\n\nAbility to identify patterns, trends, and inconsistencies in data and apply analytical techniques to support decision‑making, standardization, and process improvement.\n\nProven ability to work effectively in standardization initiatives with strong attention to detail and accuracy.\n\nStrong interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively and collaboratively across the organization in a matrix and global environment.\n\nProven ability to lead discussions, build alignment among diverse stakeholders, and work through detailed technical topics.\n\nProven ability to adapt to changing organizational environments and business needs.\n\nEOE including Disability/Protected Veterans.
