This position will report directly to the Project Manager of your region. The structural engineer is a type of civil engineer who handles a number of responsibilities ranging from project site visits and inspections, drawings and blueprints, overseeing construction sites, project management and proposals. The load of work will vary based on experience.\nStructural Engineer Qualifications\nProfessional Engineer License preferred but not required\nMaster's degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineer preferred\nExperience developing schematics for structures in accordance with client specifications and safety standards\nProject development and leadership skills are essential\nProfessional work experience in developing blueprints and designs for proposed structures\nExtensive knowledge and experience working with various operating systems\nAbility to work with various departments to facilitate the orderly execution of a proposed project plan\nExperience with software engineering, customer experience and design architecture\nAdvanced understanding of build materials, techniques and processes\nUp to date understanding of best practices regarding building safety measures\nResponsibilities\nGathering information including site or virtual visits. Structural engineers who will gather information about their proposed project before they can begin designing. Often, this includes data like geographical surveys and topographical reports.\nAnalyzing data: Utilize data that is gathered to determine the best way to structure and design their proposed project.\nBudgets/Sales: Possibly assist with sales calls to ensure that correct estimates are generated from the systems dashboard. Possibly generating more revenue for future clients.\nDesigns: Using specific materials and tools, structural engineer will create in-depth designs and blueprints for the project.\nMonitoring projects: Structural engineer will oversee the projects process and ensure compliance including the project be completed accurately and on time.\nMentor Civil Engineers and facilitate a holistic understanding as to the scope and plan for projects\nWork closely with building department within the company to ensure hardware is available for projects and working properly\nDefine clear goals for all aspects of a project and develop steps for their proper execution\nProvide detailed specifications for proposed solutions including time and scope involved\nAccount for possible project challenges or constraints and proactively seek to manage challenges\nAssist other department engineers in creating practical demonstrations of proposed solutions and demonstrating them to other members of the team\nWork alongside project management teams to successfully monitor progress and implementation of initiatives\nEstablish a framework for necessary contributions from various departments and facilitate their collaboration\nRequirements and skills\nKnowledge of engineering science and technology.\nMath knowledge.\nKnowledge of building and construction.\nDesign skills and knowledge.\nExcellent verbal communication skills.\nComplex problem-solving skills.\nThinking and reasoning skills.\nTo be thorough and pay attention to detail.\nP.E. or E.I.T. preferred but not required\nOther Benefits\nIf offered Full Time there is a generous Benefits package included.
