Built on a legacy of quality and innovation, we are seeking a Label Room Clerk to join our team and support our continued growth. This role will be involved in the printing of customer order labels associated with outbound shipments. The label room associate must be detailed oriented, must be able to work flexible hours and understand basic outbound shipping operations. Associate must be a self-starter, motivated and able to work in a diverse and constantly changing atmosphere. The label room associate must have great communication skills, verbal, writing, reading and reporting. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Understand how to operate various and multiple label printing machines for a large warehouse operation. Organize and manage time to ensure all the work gets completed in a timely manner. Ensure labels are accurate with the correct information and quality in order to meet/exceed customer expectations. Develop and publish reporting logs using Excel spreadsheets. Maintain accurate reports and logs. Organize customer orders in accordance with Igloo standard operating procedures. Maintain quality control records for printed labels. Report quality issues as needed. Understand how to reach Root Cause to issues related to the label room. Work closely with Logistics Coordinators to ensure labels are correct. Must be able to read and understand vendor compliance guidelines associated with label printing requirements. Must be able to quickly check labels, Picking, packing slips to ensure all pertinent information matches prior to issuing documents to the distribution team. Must have working knowledge of order processing process. Must have detailed knowledge of Outbound shipping processing. Work closely with the outbound shipping supervisor and manager. Must keep up with label, ink and other label room related inventory. Submit re-order requests in a timely manner. Must be able to work closely with IT department so that printers are cleaned and calibrated on a regular basis. Must have a good practical knowledge of basic computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite. Must be able to quickly learn ORACLE Warehouse Management system processes as they relate to order processing. Must communicate with internal customers on problem orders. Experience: Minimum 1-year experience with distribution and logistics. English language skills: Able to speak, read, write and comprehend English. Speaking, reading and writing in Spanish a plus. Math skills: Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Some data spreadsheet development. Physical Demands: Distribution environment; able to stand, sit for 6 – 10 hours per day. Must be able to work in an environment that may require walking long distances in a warehouse. Must be able to lift 40 – 50 lbs. Must know how to use basic Microsoft Word and Excel. Standing & Walking Roles may involve extended periods (up to 12 hours) of standing and walking, including moving at a brisk pace and occasional stair climbing. Postural Requirements Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and working in low or awkward positions during production or maintenance tasks. Lifting & Material Handling Operator-level roles may involve lifting up to 25 lb repeatedly throughout the shift. Technician-level roles may involve lifting up to 50 lb multiple times per day, including overhead lifts. Where possible, mechanical aids (e.g., hoists, forklifts) are used. Fine Motor Skills & Tool Use Use of both hands is required to operate tools, perform adjustments, and handle assembly materials with precision. Visual Requirements Sufficient visual acuity (e.g., 20/40 with or without correction) is necessary for tasks involving inspection and safe equipment operation. Environmental Conditions Work is performed in a production setting where seasonal temperatures may range from 100–120°F (with humidity) in summer to cooler conditions in winter. High noise levels are common; hearing protection is provided and required. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as ear protection, safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, gloves, and protective clothing may be required depending on the task. Additional Job Considerations These roles can be physically demanding, involving repetitive motions and long hours. Technicians may be required to handle heavy molds and materials; use of material handling equipment is provided and encouraged.
