Our team is expanding, and we are seeking a full-time Mid-Level Project Engineer to join our dynamic environment delivering innovative hardware solutions for human spaceflight.\nRole Overview:\nAs a Mid-Level Project Engineer, you will lead and support projects to develop, certify, and deliver critical flight hardware. You will also manage sustaining tasks for Crew and Maintenance Components (CMC) hardware, which includes diagnostics equipment, laptops, tools, stowage, and restraints. This role is highly cross-functional and customer-facing, requiring technical aptitude, strong project management skills, and the ability to communicate effectively across engineering and business domains.\nYou’ll coordinate multiple complex projects at various stages of execution across both ISS and Orion programs—each with its own pace, priorities, and customer requirements.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nLead and support spaceflight hardware development from concept through certification and delivery\nManage project schedules using resource-loaded plans in MS Project Professional\nCreate and justify basis-of-estimates (BOEs) for new and ongoing work\nPrepare and deliver customer presentations, technical documentation, and trade studies\nAuthor and maintain work orders, non-conformance reports, and project records\nCoordinate across engineering disciplines and business stakeholders to align priorities and resolve issues\nManage multiple concurrent projects and adjust to shifting timelines and deliverables across NASA programs\nMonitor project budgets and drive cost-conscious decision-making in alignment with customer scrutiny\nSupport hardware testing, documentation, and other milestone activities, including occasional work outside normal hours\nKey Skills and Capabilities:\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders\nProven ability to prioritize and manage multiple cross-program projects with diverse deliverables\nA proactive mindset with strong time management and organizational skills\nCustomer-facing experience with a personable, solution-oriented approach\nA strong understanding of project scheduling, cost tracking, and resource management\nTechnical familiarity with mechanical and electronic hardware design and integration\nAbility to interpret and generate engineering drawings and documentation\nDemonstrated leadership in driving project milestones and collaborating with cross-functional teams\nSoftware & Tools:\nAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Project for schedule management\nProficiency in PowerPoint, including the ability to develop visual technical content\nExperience with IBM Maximo, MS SharePoint, Creo Parametric, or similar tools is preferred\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree (BS) in Engineering or a related technical field\n3 to 5+ years of experience in project engineering, systems engineering, or technical project management (A relevant Master’s degree may substitute for 2 years of experience)\nU.S. Citizenship is required\nDemonstrated experience supporting complex technical projects in aerospace or a related field\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience managing multi-disciplinary hardware development projects for government or commercial aerospace customers\nKnowledge of NASA processes, particularly related to ISS or Orion programs\nAbility to develop and defend cost estimates and resource plans in a customer-facing role\nJob Type: Full-time\nPay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year\nBenefits:\n401(k)\n401(k) matching\nDental insurance\nHealth insurance\nPaid time off\nVision insurance\nApplication Question(s):\nDue to Export controls, this role requires applicants to be a US Citizen.
