The instructor will be responsible for planning and delivering Communication curriculum. Along with the classroom hours, there will be a strong focus on using a learning management system and collaborative learning.\n\nEssential Job Duties & Responsibilities\nTeach courses in the Communication Program up to 27.5 hours per week\nPrepare and submit lesson plans prior to each course session\nGrade and provide feedback on student work in a timely manner\nEvaluate and monitor students’ progress the use of various assessment tools\nDeliver engaging instruction through a variety of student-centered classroom activities\nMaintain necessary records to report student academic progress (SAP) to the Academic Dean/Program Manager\nProvide support through academic advising to ensure student growth and retention.\nAttend and participate in quarterly instructor in-service meetings.\nStay well-informed with the trends and developments in Communication by attending professional development activities outside of CSI\nOrganize and lead fieldtrips for student enrichment once per quarter.\nActively contribute to program improvement by proactively providing feedback and participating in various committees\nAdditional tasks as needed\n\nEducation and Experience: The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies, Public Relations, English, or other related degree.
