This hands-on leader will oversee multiple projects and help develop and implement the Intake strategy. This fully US-Based remote position operates Monday-Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM ET.\nResponsibilities:\nOversee client engagements, nurture relationships, and provide thought leadership to ensure the quality and success of engagements.\nTranslate complex issues into clear, compelling narratives and present performance reports to executive leadership and stakeholders.\nDefine and develop strategic goals for ICT and VA initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.\nDesign and implement a comprehensive change management strategy that aligns with ICT and organizational goals, addressing the needs of various portfolios, account groups, and stakeholders.\nTrack and report on the progress of change initiatives using OKRs, KPIs, and other metrics to measure success and make necessary adjustments.\nPrepare and deliver high-level communications to executives, including presentations, reports, and briefings.\nCollaborate with leaders and experts to plan and prepare for offsites, guide groups through agendas, ensure all voices are heard, manage group dynamics, and resolve conflicts.\nEngage and communicate with diverse stakeholders to gain support, ensure alignment on strategic priorities, and facilitate effective collaboration.\nIdentify potential risks impacting ICT objectives, develop mitigation strategies, and implement risk management plans.\nManage action items and follow up with action owners to ensure resolution.\nHire, train, and mentor team members, ensuring knowledge transfer and retention. Identify and streamline improvements to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness.\nMaintain comprehensive documentation of program activities, decisions, and lessons learned. Store official program data, documents, processes, and artifacts in accordance with VA directives.\nImplement and maintain processes to ensure deliverables meet required standards. Perform rigorous quality checks and validation processes to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and completeness.\nRespond promptly to VA requests for document retrieval and ad hoc reports.\nQualifications:\nRequired Skills and Experience\nBachelor's degree in computer science, systems, business, or related scientific /technical discipline is required with 15 + years of experience. An additional 10 year of experience may be substituted for the educational requirements.\nProven expertise in overseeing client engagements, fostering strong client relationships, and guiding teams with thought leadership to ensure successful and high-quality outcomes.\nProficiency in program control, including performance, cost, schedule, and resource management, with regular status reporting.\nDemonstrated leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across different teams and organizations.\nExpertise in developing and implementing strategic plans that align with organizational goals.\nExceptional skills in engaging and communicating with diverse stakeholders to gain support and ensure alignment.\nProven ability to work effectively with diverse teams to achieve common goals.\nProven experience in leading and managing change initiatives, including developing change strategies and plans.\nExperience in preparing and delivering high-level communications to executives, including presentations, reports, and briefings.\nDemonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to inspire and guide teams.\nExperience in developing and implementing strategies to mitigate or reduce the impact of risks.\nProven ability to monitor and report on the progress of change initiatives through OKRs, KPIs, and various other metrics.\nStrong analytical skills to identify client challenges, evaluate processes and identify improvements.\nExperience in requisition development, interviewing, staffing, resource management and managing remote teams.\nExcellent organizational skills and effective time management for handling fast turnaround requests and multiple priorities.\nStrong experience with Microsoft Office, MS Teams, workflows, and workflow management.\nMust be a US citizen.\nPreferred Skills and Experience\nLeadership experience with Veterans Affairs or other government agencies.\nPMP Certification, Scrum Master Certification, and/or other Agile/SAFe certifications.\nProficiency in life cycle and project management methodologies.\nExperience with IT-related projects.\nProven experience in collaborating with team leaders and subject matter experts, facilitating discussions, and creating content.\nTechnical proficiency with content management systems and multimedia tools.\nProficient in using tools and techniques to enhance group discussions.\nClearance: Must be able to obtain/maintain suitability/public trust clearance.\nCompany Overview:\nGovCIO is a team of transformers-people who are passionate about transforming government IT.
