Robotics Maintenance & Field Service Technician II / III Build Robots. Deploy Robots. Keep Robots Running. What You'll Do As a Robotics Maintenance & Field Service Technician, you'll be responsible for deploying, maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving advanced robotic systems operating at customer facilities across North America. You'll work directly with customers, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations to keep robots running and continuously improve our products. Responsibilities include: • Deploying new robotic systems at customer sites • Performing preventative maintenance and system inspections • Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, controls, and networking issues • Executing repairs, upgrades, retrofits, and field modifications • Supporting commissioning, validation, and customer handoff activities • Documenting failures and supporting root cause investigations • Providing field feedback that directly influences future product development • Supporting pilot programs, new product introductions, and fleet upgrades What We're Looking For You may be a robotics technician, maintenance technician, field service technician, automation technician, military technician, mechanic, engineer, builder, maker, or simply someone who loves solving difficult technical problems. We're looking for people with: • Experience troubleshooting, repairing, building, maintaining, or deploying electromechanical systems • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude • Experience working with motors, sensors, actuators, drives, pneumatics, conveyors, robotics, industrial automation, CNC equipment, AGVs, AMRs, or similar systems • Ability to read schematics and technical documentation • Experience using multimeters, hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment • Strong communication skills and customer-facing professionalism • A willingness to travel and take ownership of problems Bonus Points • Robotics or automation experience • Field service experience • PLC troubleshooting experience • ROS, Linux, or networking experience • Military technical background • Startup or high-growth company experience • Fabrication, machining, welding, or 3D printing experience Why Join Tutor At Tutor, every employee has the opportunity to make a direct impact.
