This role provides senior-level engineering and operational ownership of Apache Tomcat application platforms running on Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment. The engineer will ensure platform reliability, security, performance, and scalability while driving best practices in automation, CI/CD, and disaster recovery.\n\nWhat You'll Do:\nArchitect, install, configure, and optimize Tomcat clusters on Red Hat Enterprise Linux virtual servers.\nSupport application deployment strategies and enforce SDLC, change management, and release governance.\nDesign and manage SSL/TLS, certificate lifecycle management, and secure communications.\nImplement authentication, authorization, and Single Sign-On (SSO) integrations using LDAP and enterprise identity platforms.\nDrive security hardening standards, vulnerability remediation, and compliance alignment for middleware and Linux systems.\nPerform advanced root cause analysis and resolution of complex middleware, OS, and application issues.\nEstablish and maintain platform monitoring, logging, and alerting standards.\nSupport and enhance CI/CD pipelines, automation, and deployment tooling (e.g., Jenkins).\nMentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across middleware and platform operations.\nCollaborate with application development, database, network, and storage teams to deliver stable and scalable platforms.\nParticipate in 24/7 on-call rotation for critical platform incidents and escalations.\nMandatory Skills:\nStrong hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration (physical and virtual).\nAdvanced experience with SSL/TLS, certificate authorities, and secure communications.\nProven expertise in middleware and OS security hardening, vulnerability management, and patching.\nExperience designing and supporting high availability and disaster recovery architectures.\nStrong troubleshooting skills across application, middleware, OS, and infrastructure layers.\nWorking knowledge of LDAP/SSO integrations and identity management concepts.\nExperience with CI/CD and automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, Control-M).\nFamiliarity with SAN storage concepts and enterprise storage platforms.\nBachelor?s degree preferred; equivalent professional experience accepted.\nPreferred Skills:\nExperience with infrastructure automation (Ansible, scripting).\nExposure to containerization or Kubernetes (Tomcat on containers).\nExperience supporting Spring Boot or Java microservices platforms.\nFamiliarity with observability stacks (Splunk, ELK, Prometheus).\nExpertise You'll Bring:\n\nThe ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in middleware engineering, with a focus on security, performance, and operational excellence.
