This role will be hands on completing inspections, collaborating with production, engineering, and management teams, and implementing robust inspection procedures for welding, fabrication, and or assembly processes.\r\nKey Responsibilities: Perform detailed inspections of manufactured components, welds, and assemblies to ensure compliance with specifications, standards, and engineering drawings.\r\nUtilize NDT techniques (such as VT, MT, PT, UT) to evaluate material integrity and detect potential defects.\r\nConduct dimensional inspections using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).\r\nInterpret and apply welding codes and standards (AWS, ASME, ISO) to manufacturing processes.\r\nDocument inspection findings and generate quality reports, including non-conformance reports (NCRs)\r\nAccept or reject incoming materials based on inspection results.\r\nDevelop, implement, and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS) to comply with industry standards such as AWS, AWWA, and ISO requirements.\r\nDrive a culture of continuous improvement across production and quality processes.\r\nWelding & Certification Oversight Oversee all weld certification programs, including qualifying welders to applicable codes and standards.\r\nConduct or supervise weld inspections and non-destructive testing (NDT) as required.\r\nReview and approve Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQRs), and Welder Performance Qualification Records (WPQs).\r\nEnsure compliance with AWS D1.1, AWWA C706, and other applicable codes.\r\nProvide technical guidance to welding teams on processes, techniques, and quality improvements.\r\nQuality Assurance & Compliance Maintain documentation and records required for customer audits, regulatory reviews, and internal quality reporting.\r\nEnsure all manufactured products meet engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.\r\nLead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues.\r\nCollaborate with project managers and engineers to resolve quality concerns during production and installation phases.\r\nDevelop and deliver training programs for welders, quality personnel, and production teams on quality standards and welding practices.\r\nAnalyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.\r\nRecommend and implement process improvements to reduce defects and increase efficiency.\r\nQualifications: Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification from AWS.\r\nMinimum 7 years of quality management experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.\r\nStrong knowledge of AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code, AWWA standards, and other relevant industry codes.\r\nExperience managing weld certification programs and conducting welder performance testing.\r\nProficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, weld symbols, and engineering drawings.\r\nStrong leadership skills with experience managing teams and building cross-functional relationships.\r\nExcellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.\r\nPreferred Experience in gate manufacturing, water control systems, or heavy structural fabrication.\r\nFamiliarity with ISO 9001 or similar QMS standards.\r\nExperience with NDT methods such as visual, magnetic particle, ultrasonic, or dye penetrant testing.\r\nBachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Welding Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).\r\nPhysical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and climb ladders or scaffolding as needed for inspections.\r\nComfortable working in manufacturing environments, including fabrication shops and outdoor field inspections.\r\nMust be
