Technical Project Manager

Overview:
Hampton is looking for a Technical Project Manager who will be responsible for managing Information Technology projects to ensure the proposed plan adheres to the timeline, budget, and scope. This role requires strong technical expertise.Project management skills and the ability to coordinate cross-functional (specifically with the Operations Technology team within mill Engineering) teams to deliver and report project status, including planning projects in detail and setting schedules for all those involved in the project. This role will require travel to Hampton facilities on a regular basis to oversee projects.

Responsibilities:
Project Planning:
Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in partnership with project sponsor.
Create project plans, timelines, and schedules.
Allocate resources (human, material, and equipment) efficiently.
Project Execution:
Coordinate activities, tasks, and resources to meet project milestones.
Monitor progress and track project metrics.
Coordinate project changes with the project sponsor and manage changes in project scope, schedule or costs.
Ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Team Leadership and Management:
Lead a cross-functional team of engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders.
Foster collaboration and communication among team members and stakeholders/project sponsor.
Motivate team members to achieve project goals and deadlines.
Risk Management:
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies with the project sponsor.
Address issues and obstacles promptly to keep the project on track.
Implement contingency plans as needed.
Stakeholder Communication:
Communicate project status, issues, and risks to stakeholders (including senior management and project sponsor).
Report progress and project metrics to project sponsor.
Manage expectations and ensure alignment between project outcomes and stakeholder needs.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain project documentation, including schedules, budgets, and project plans.
Prepare regular progress reports and presentations for stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement:
Evaluate project outcomes and performance metrics.
Identify opportunities for process improvements or lessons learned for future projects.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Master’s degree preferred) or related work experience
Manufacturing, Project Management, or a related field preferred
Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager in a manufacturing setting, with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, technologies, and equipment.
Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, JIRA).
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
PMP certification or equivalent is a plus.
