{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"5c8fdf58652bbbfaad8d5948","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/5c8fdf58652bbbfaad8d5948","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/5c8fdf58652bbbfaad8d5948","title":"Design and Analysis Engineer 4","description":"JOB TITLE: Design and Analysis Engineer 4\nLOCATION: Everett, WA\nPAY RATE: $88/hour\nWe are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.\nJob Details:\nJob Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)\nClearance: Ability to obtain and/or maintain a Secret Security Clearance (Active Secret or Interim Secret required to start).\nSchedule: Full-time | 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM)\nIndustry: Aerospace / Defense / Aviation\nBenefits: Medical, dental, and vision (Cigna)\nPerks: Bonus potential + Priority access via Tier 1 supplier\nOpenings Nationwide: Thousands of opportunities across the U.S.\nQualifying Questions:\nAre you a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance?\nDo you meet the educational and experience requirements for this role?\nCan you commute to the job location or relocate if necessary?\nSummary:\nSupport the engineering design, development, integration, testing, and certification of mission avionics systems, ensuring seamless integration with software and higher-level platforms.\nAssist in the development, validation, verification, and decomposition of system-level requirements.\nDevelop and execute test plans and procedures in support of system validation and certification activities.\nCoordinate system-level integration of avionics hardware and software components.\nSupport execution of critical tests to validate avionics performance against system requirements.\nProvide technical oversight and coordination with suppliers and software teams to ensure compliance with engineering and design requirements.\nSupport the full product lifecycle, including proposal development, design, production, flight testing, laboratory testing, and in-service support.\nConduct trade studies and support proposal efforts for future upgrades and new business opportunities.\nCoordinate FAA, military certification, and airworthiness activities related to mission avionics systems.\nCollaborate with specialty engineering teams, including safety, cybersecurity, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMI/EMC) groups.\nTroubleshoot avionics systems, production labs, and aircraft technical issues.\nPerform technical investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions (RCCA).\nSupport communication, navigation, networking, and RF-based systems including radio systems, military GPS, Link 16, military chat systems, and related communications technologies.\nRequirements:\n\nAbility to obtain and/or maintain a Secret Security Clearance (Active Secret or Interim Secret required to start)\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or related technical field (Electrical Engineering preferred).\n3+ years of engineering experience.\nExperience with communication systems, FAA and/or military environments, troubleshooting, and systems integration.\nExperience with RF systems, including radio communications, military GPS, Link 16, or related communication systems.\nNetworking experience.\nMust be a U.S. citizen to comply with security clearance requirements.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with software development processes.\nKnowledge of RF engineering principles, communication systems, navigation systems, flight management systems, and mission control systems.\nExperience with defensive systems, avionics troubleshooting, and aircraft systems.\nExperience with hardware/software integration and avionics LRUs.\nExperience with FAA and military certification requirements.\nExperience conducting Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA) and technical investigations.\nExperience managing suppliers and technical subcontractors.\nExperience developing requirements and evaluating maintenance, certifications, or airworthiness directives.\nAbout Us:\nThe Structures Company is a premier national aerospace and defense staffing agency specializing in contract, contract-to-hire, and direct hire placements.
