Responsible for reviewing student theses and dissertations for conformity with university published discipline-specific style guides.\r\nDuties & Responsibilities:\r\nProvides technical editing of thesis and dissertation proposals and final products\r\nSupports Associate Dean in administration of thesis and dissertation processes\r\nTracks, reads, and provides feedback regarding format and consistency thesis and dissertation proposals and final products\r\nVerifies that dissertations and theses adhere to university research compliance areas (human subjects, animal care and use, biosafety, export control and responsible conduct in research and scholarship), when applicable\r\nCoordinates and plans outreach and education efforts for thesis and dissertation processes, including offering trainings and workshops\r\nMaintains thesis and dissertation databases\r\nProvides e-mail communication containing feedback, processes, and final approvals from the Graduate School\r\nCoordinates the Graduate Representative process for dissertation proposal defenses\r\nDevelops thesis and dissertation resources for student and faculty use\r\nMaintains the Office of Thesis and Dissertation website\r\nMaintains student records related to thesis and dissertation processes\r\nCoordinates the Summer Thesis and Dissertation Fellowship processes\r\nTracks and communicates with students and faculty regarding the status of theses/dissertations\r\nCollaborates with the Library to maintain thesis and dissertation style manuals collection\r\nMinimum Requirements:\r\nEducation: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience (High school and four years of experience may substitute degree).\r\nExperience / Knowledge / Skills: Two (2) to Four (4) years of related experience. Advanced knowledge in word processing, spreadsheet, imaging applications, verbal skills, and organizational skills.\r\nAbility to: Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.\r\nLicensing/Professional Certifications: None\r\nPhysical Requirements: None\r\nOther Requirements: None\r\nPreferred Education / Skills/ Experience:\r\nMaster's degree.
