Paralegal – Vaccines (Federal Litigation Support)Location: Washington, DCClearance/Screening: Ability to satisfy federal background/access requirements for unescorted entry (identity/citizenship verification may be requested by the customer)Schedule: Full-time; occasional second-shift or overtime may be required (billed at straight-time per contract)Employment Type: Full-time (on contract)Compensation: $35,000 - $40,000About the RoleJoin a federal vaccines program supporting high-impact litigation. You'll partner with attorneys to manage case files, prepare filings and exhibits, and keep matters moving smoothly across federal courts. This role blends meticulous document work with hands-on courtroom preparation and tight, deadline-driven collaboration.What You'll DoOrganize and maintain case files, discovery, and evidence logs for vaccines-related matters.Prepare, proof, and format legal documents (motions, briefs, tables of authorities), and assemble exhibits and binders.Handle e-filings (e.g., CM/ECF/PACER) and track deadlines, service, and docket updates.Perform cite checking, blue-booking, and basic legal/fact research; draft summaries and chronologies.Coordinate with experts, witnesses, and agency stakeholders; manage calendars and production schedules.Support hearings/trials: logistics, materials, couriering, and in-court binders/technology set-up.Scan, OCR, and perform quality control on records; apply redactions and Bates numbers.Maintain strict data handling and on-premises conduct per customer policies when on site .Required Qualifications2–5+ years of litigation paralegal experience (federal court preferred).Proficiency with MS Office (Word styles, TOC/TOA), PDF tools, and e-filing portals (CM/ECF/PACER).Strong organization, time management, and deadline discipline in high-volume environments.Excellent writing, proofing, and cite-checking skills; acute attention to detail.Professionalism and adherence to on-premises rules when working at customer sites .Ability to meet federal customer access requirements (identity/citizenship verification may be requested) .Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree and/or ABA-approved paralegal certificate.Experience in vaccine-related, torts, medical, or administrative litigation.Familiarity with litigation databases (Relativity, Everlaw, Concordance, CaseMap/TimeMap).Experience preparing trial notebooks, exhibit lists, and deposition summaries.Comfort supporting occasional second-shift or overtime surges as mission needs arise .Work Environment & HoursThis role supports a federal customer. Work on customer premises may be required and is subject to on-site conduct/security rules; personnel and property entering/leaving the premises may be subject to search . Occasional second-shift or overtime may be needed to meet court or production deadlines; when authorized by the buyer/customer, only straight-time rates are billable under this program .Compensation & Employment TypeContract role under a federal Time & Materials arrangement; compensation aligned with experience and applicable wage determinations.
