Intake Clinician

Child & Family Services is looking to hire a full-time Intake Clinician. Our clinic is required to provide behavioral health urgent care services, including access to same-day or next-day services. This position is designed to provide our clients and families with consistent, high-quality care through an array of evidence-based, culturally competent, person-centered and family-centered treatment. The role of an Intake Clinician includes assisting clients and families with establishing a continuum of health and behavioral healthcare, ensuring open access to services and community resources, providing counseling services including group work, while identifying and linking clients and families with the appropriate level of care to best support their needs. This is a full-time, 40 hour/week position with evening/weekend flexibility required. This position is funded through the SAMHSA CCBHC Project and is not production based. $1/hour Language Differential! (eligible languages include: Cape Verdean Creole, Haitian Creole, Portuguese, Spanish or ASL) Bilingual candidates strongly encouraged to apply! Qualifications: A completed Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Clinical Psychology, or other clinical licensure eligible degree program is required This individual must be license eligible for an LICSW, LMHC, LMFT or LADC-I Responsibilities: The following responsibilities are not meant to be all inclusive and may be adjusted to meet the agency’s needs. Provide a safe, welcoming, and clean environment for our clients and families Complete necessary intake paperwork including pre-screenings, biopsychosocial assessments, releases and consent forms with the clients and families permission. Provide psycho-education to clients and families regarding their rights and responsibilities Perform trauma-informed assessments to identify the unique needs of clients Complete billable services within 24-hour of event Utilize collaborative documentation as a treatment modality Engage in effective coordination of care across health and behavioral health services to facilitate wellness and recovery of the whole person Make referrals or link to care coordination, peer support and recovery services when needed Support transitions of care, including assisting with the development of aftercare planning with clients and families Provide crisis management services and coordinate with Emergency Services as appropriate Serve as a community educator by providing mental health information to relevant individuals, organizations, and groups Utilize evidence-based interventions, including motivational interviewing, to develop person-centered treatment plans through collaborative documentation Maintain a flexible schedule that is conducive to providing services in an open access model that will include in-person and telehealth services Maintain record-keeping as required by CFS, funding sources, and accreditation authorities Adhere to SAMHSA, the CCBHC, and CFS expectations, policies and procedures Participate in all supervision and training activities as required by CFS, funding sources, and accreditation authorities Keep EHR calendar up to date to support centralized scheduling Maintain CANS certification If licensed, complete continued education to maintain clinical professional licensure and ensure that licensure remains active Cultural Competency Qualifications Awareness of personal attitudes, beliefs, biases, and assumptions about others Knowledge of the various dimensions of diversity, including gender, race, and ethnicity Acknowledging that people from other cultural groups may not share the same beliefs and practices or perceive experiences in the same way Cultural knowledge of key populations that will be served to address disparities in service delivery Demonstrates positive attitudes towards cultural differences by showing respect and openness towards people whose social and cultural background is different from one's own Demonstrates skills for communication and interaction across cultures, including the ability to recognize and manage personal behaviors, moods, and impulses to create an inclusive, equitable, and welcoming climate within the agency Benefit Details: Benefit eligible at 20+ hours Medical – Harvard Pilgrim/Health Plans - 75% employer paid for full-time employees Dental – Delta Dental Vision - Eye Med 2 weeks’ vacation accrued over 1st year, 3 weeks after 3 years, 4 weeks after 5 years and 5 weeks after 20 years 12 sick days per year (accrued monthly); 2 personal days per year 10 paid holidays 401K – CFS matches first 1% at 100%; 2%-6% of annual earnings are matched at 50% Tuition reimbursement – Up to $1,500 per calendar year FREE Clinical Supervision towards licensure & Professional Licensure reimbursement (LICSW, LMHC) FREE CEU's and Trainings- up to 1,000 trainings available!
