This role will also be responsible for supporting design, development, implementation of PLC projects. The position requires 0-2 years' experience with the following skills: Rockwell Control Logix PLC code, robotic systems is a plus, ability to review electrical design, train, identify gaps and develop countermeasures around programming issues. Responsible for providing technical support and service to different areas in the facility. The incumbent may also perform the following functions: supervising, requisitioning, defining, initiating, specifying, documenting, and training.\nDevelops or participates in the development of solutions to problems specific to assigned project.\nParticipates in continuous improvement projects.\nWorks with manufacturing and other functional groups on manufacturing regulatory compliance issues.\nWrites and/or executes, and reports on validation activities.\nDesigns and performs routine testing, project experiments, analysis of data and reports results.\nPerforms engineering studies on new equipment to determine proper settings, control points, etc. including data gathering during start up and test batches.\nInitiates new or revisions of protocols/operating instructions specific to the project.\nPerforms NCR/CAPA investigations and tasks.\nManage and execute change control activities related to equipment.\nPerforms work assignments within production department that include training and technical support\nInterprets, executes, and recommends modifications to operating policies where appropriate.\nAssist in the design, installation and start-up of new equipment and systems as required.\nPerform technical trouble shooting and implement problem resolution for existing and new equipment/systems.\nCoordinate with cross-functional teams (internal and external) on projects relating to existing and new product lines.\nThe person in this position needs to frequently move between the office and the production floor.\nMust be able to work in a clean room environment without daylight / windows.\nOccasionally ascends/descends a ladder to access machinery.\n\nWhat you will bring\nStrong accountability and ownership.\nStrong leadership and project management skills.\nKnowledgeable in the practice and application of Lean Manufacturing.\nTechnical Software Skills Preferred:\nPLC: Allen-Bradley Control Logix, AB500, Safety PLCs\nHMI: Allen-Bradley\nCommunication: Understanding of TCP/IP networks, RS-232 interfaces, Profibus communication, Fieldbus and HSSB\nElectrical: Hands on troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, understanding of Category 3 Safety Systems, E-Plan P8, AutoCAD, ability to read /draw schematics.\nFamiliarity with drives (such as servo and VFD) motion control, encoders, hydraulics, and pneumatics.\nRobotics (preferred): Fanuc, Yaskawa.\nVision Systems (preferred): Cognex, Keyence.\nProgramming (Bonus): C#, C++, VB, SQL Server.\n\nBS in Engineering required (Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering preferred).\nExperience in a regulated industry is a plus.\nTechnical skill (Software or other):\nFamiliarity with Allen-Bradley PLCs.\nFamiliarity with servo control systems (Rockwell, Yaskawa) preferred\nAbility to read and write electrical schematics.\nHands on mechanical skill set is a plus.\n\nListed salary ranges may vary based on experience, qualifications, and local market.
