The Role: As our Chief Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing property maintenance and ensuring our guests enjoy a seamless and unforgettable stay. You will play a pivotal role in managing property maintenance comprehensively. From proactive facilities management to ensuring the operational efficiency of guest rooms, meeting rooms, and our indoor and outdoor pools, your expertise will be crucial in maintaining the highest standards of maintenance. Responsibilities: Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians, fostering a collaborative and supportive working environment. Ensure strict adherence to health and safety policies and procedures, maintaining the highest standards of maintenance throughout the property. Collaborate cross-departmentally to achieve hotel objectives and contribute to a proactive and interactive working environment. Manage vendor relationships effectively, overseeing contracts and ensuring quality service delivery. Perform daily property inspections and manage a comprehensive preventative maintenance program. Respond promptly to maintenance needs, providing professional and courteous service to guests and staff. Be on call for emergencies and adjust schedules as necessary to properly cover busy times or manage response to situations as they arise. Qualifications: Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Excellent problem-solving abilities and computer literacy. Proficiency in verbal and written English.
